11 – 12 Boys Lead DCST at ISI Age Group State Meet

 

                DCST’s 11 – 12 boys lead the way for DCST at the ISI Age Group Championship Meet. The relay team of Dylan Powers, Jacob Bjork, James Lorr and Daniel Hein finished 7 ^th in the 400 yard Freestyle Relay and 9 ^th in the 400 yard Medley Relay. In individual events, Hein placed in the top 16 in all six of his individual events (4 ^th – 100 yard Backstroke, 6 ^th – 50 yard Butterfly,6 ^th – 50 yard Backstroke, 7 ^th – 100 yard Butterfly, 12 ^th – 50 yard Freestyle, 13 ^th - 100 yard IM) . Hein’s time in both the 50 and 100 yard Butterfly events were new DCST Team Records. Lorr was also impressive with 2 top 16 place finishes (4 ^th – 50 yard Breaststroke, 12 ^th 100 yard Breaststroke). Other DCST swimmers to place in the top 16 were: Jensen Keck (12 ^th – Girls ages 11 – 12 50 yard Breaststroke) and Ryan Schultz (11 ^th – Boys ages 13 – 14 200 yard Breaststroke).

                Of DCST’s 22 individual swims, 14 or 64% percent were lifetime best swims. DCST swimmers with over a 50% improvement rating were:

                Ryan Schultz (1 for 1) – 100%

Nolan Fergus (2 for 3) – 67%

James Lorr (2 for 3) – 67%
