DCST National Results Day 1

DCST National Results (Day 1)

Day 1 of the National Championships only consisted of one event, the 1500 Freestyle; but this event was a great one for DCST. In an extremely exciting race, Emily Launer had an outstanding swim while earning a 2 nd place finish. She had a 16.5 second time drop from her previous best time which was also the previous DCST Team Record. On the men’s side, Grant Alef earned an impressive 8 th place finish.
For their efforts, both Emily and Grant earned National All-American honors. This is the 19 th time that each of these swimmers have earned this honor which is tops among the All-Time DCST National All-American list. With these swims, they moved out of a three way tie with former DCST Swimmer, Matt Chambers.
