DCST Take 2^nd at Rockford Early Bird Invite

DCST took second place to host Rockford at the Rockford Early Bird Invite.  As a team, DCST had an off meet with only 15 new career best individual times out of 68 swims for a dismal 22% improvement rate.  The 4 DCST swimmers who bucked this trend with at least two personal best times in the meet were: Camryn “Smiley” Anderson, Tyler Berger, Grace Johnson and Jenni Weber.

            After each meet, the coaching staff picks two swimmers, one girl and one boy, as the “Big Dogs" of the meet. Big Dogs are not only selected on their performance in the meet, but the coaches also take into consideration the swimmer’s practice attendance, work ethic, team spirit and sportsmanship. For this meet, Jenni Weber, age 11, and Tyler Berger, age 13, were selected as Big Dogs of the meet.

            DCST’s next competition will be back in Rockford on Saturday, November 12 against Rockford and Freeport.
