DCST Excels at Age Group Championships - Nolan Fergus Wins State Title
DCST sent 21 swimmers to the Illinois Age Group Championship Meet on July 25 – 28 in Lincolnshire. Eight of these swimmers were competing in the meet for the first time, while 6 swimmers qualifying for individual events in the meet for the first time. DCST swimmers had a strong weekend with 31 out of 60 best times for a 50% improvement rate. During the course of the meet, DCST had 21 finishes in the top 20, 8 finishes in the top 8 and 1 state champion. Athena Ye and Nolan Fergus combined to set 8 new team records. As a team our girls finished 17th, the boys finished 29th and combined DCST finished in 25th place.
