DCST National Results - Day 1 Caitlynn Moon Crowned National Champion
DCST National Championship Results – Day 1
The DCST National Team swimmers made up T-shirts for this year’s meet which say “One Lane, One Chance”, and Day 1 of the National Championships lived up to the slogan with a bunch of number 1’s. There was only 1 event on Day 1, the 1500 Meter Freestyle. Moon was DCST’s 1 swimmer in this event, and most importantly, she finished number 1. Her 10.1 second time drop set a new DCST team record by 7.5 seconds. She became the 3rd swimmer in DCST history to win a National Championship. The other two swimmers were Emily Launer (twice) and Mackenzie Powers (once). Her performance also earned her National All-American honors for the 14th time in her career. The National Championship meet continues through Friday.
