Ye Excels at Central Zone Championships

        Athena Ye helped Team Illinois win the Zone Championships in Geneva, OH over teams from the states of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.  Ye finished second in individual scoring for Girls ages 11 – 12.  For the meet, she had 5 personal best times in 6 individual events, and she set 4 team records (100 meter Backstroke, 200 meter Backstroke, 50 meter Butterfly and 100 meter Butterfly).  She won two individual events (100 and 200 meter Backstroke), and she was on Team Illinois’s first place relay teams in the both 200 and 400 Medley Relays.  She swam the butterfly leg on both relays.
