DCST Boys Relay Qualifies for Finals on Day 1 of the YMCA Long Course National Championships
DCST got off to a great start on the first day of the YMCA Long Course National Championships in Indianapolis, IN. Daniel Hein, Jacob Bjork, Dylan Powers and Michael Carlson dropped 3 seconds from their seed time to qualify for finals in 9th place in the 200 meter Medley Relay. The finals for this event will be run on Tuesday evening. Daniel Hein lead off the relay with a 50 meter Backstroke split of 26.40 which is a new DCST team record by 0.5 seconds. DCST’s female relay team of Kylie Olson, Jensen Keck, Sarah Hein and Athena Ye were very impressive with their 5.25 second time drop. The foursome finished in 30th place. The meet continues through Friday.

Daniel’s lead-off 50 meter Backstroke split of 26.40 was new DCST team record.
