2017 IL MDWY Firecracker Open

2017 IL Midway Firecracker Open was held on June 23^rd through the 25^th.  DCST was represented by 19 swimmers ranging in age from our 8 year old swimmer to our 22 year old swimmer.    The reports I have heard were that it was a very nice facility and a fun meet to attend.  Maybe we can try again next year to send even more swimmers.

Fireworks -- a display of brilliance or energy….

•  Emily Raetzke had the most significant displays of brilliance and energy by improving her LCM times by a lot in the 200 IM, 100 free, 100 breast, 100 fly, and 50 free.
• Ava Farrell achieved 5 new LCM times.
• Devin Green achieved 2 new LCM times and improved on 3 existing LCM times.
• Reese Green achieved 5 new LCM times.
• Samantha Hastings achieved 2 new LCM times.
• Ava Karolewicz achieved 2 new LCM times and improved on her 100 free LCM time.
• Daryl Kay added a LCM time for his 100 free.
• Madelynn Marunde achieved 6 new LCM times.
• Cole Moon improved on his 400 IM LCM by over 5 seconds.
• Rebecca Nenonen improved her LCM times for her 100 free and 100 breast
• Mallory Pitstick achieved a new LCM time for her 400 free.
• Camila Placios achieved a LCM time for her 100 breast and improved her LCM time for 50 fly, and 100 back.
• Max Placios achieved LCM times for 400 IM, 50 back, and 100 back.
• Hannah Raetzke achieved her LCM time for the 400 free and improved her LCM times in the 50 fly, 100 back, and 100 fly.
• Alex Skrzypek improved his LCM times for the 50 back, 100 back, and 50 free.
• Nicole Skrzypek improved her LCM times for the 50 fly, 100 back, 50 free, and 100 fly.
