Gators Close Long Course Season with Divisional and Zone Championships

What a season its been! The Gators wrapped up the Long Course Championship season with a pair of meets the last 2 weeks. First, we headed south to Franklin Community High School for the Indiana Central East Divisional Championships. We had a number of first time Championship qualifiers gaining some great Championship meet experience against a higher level of competition. The Gators showed they were ready with some great swims, with highlights below.

• Jacob McCoy – 2 events, 2 Lifetime Best (LTBs) swims, and a 16^th place finish in the Boys 10 and Under 100 Back
• Maria Mears – 1 event, 1 LTB, and a 78^th place finish in the Girls 13-14 50 Free
• Lila Phillips – 2 events, 2 LTBs, and a 64^th place finish in the Girls 11-12 100 Free
• Samey Sheets – 2 events, 2 LTBs, and a 17^th place finish in the Girls 10 and Under 100 Breast
• Reagan Sullivan – 4 events, 4 LTBs, and a 29^th place finish in the Girls 10 and Under 100 Back
• Ben Wehnert – 5 events, 5 LTBs, and an 8^th place finish in the Boys Open 1650 Free
• Zachary Wehnert – 1 event, 1 LTB, and a 46^th place finish in the Boys 13-14 100 Free

Then this past weekend 2 Gators travelled with Team Indiana to Elkhart, Indiana to take on the rest of the US Central Zone. Team Indiana is made up of the fastest swimmers from around the state in an All Star event against the All Start teams from other US states/LSCs. Highlights are below.

• Emmanuel Jackson – 2 events, with 49^th and 50^th place finishes in the Boys 13-14 50 and 100 Free
• Nick McCoy – 1 event, a 12^th place finish in the 11-12 Boys 50 Breast
• Team Indiana finished 1^st overall in the team standings

Great work to all our Gator swimmers and coaches on a very successful season! We look forward to seeing you all back in the water in just a few weeks as we move into our Short Course Season.
