Gators Dive Into The Holiday Spirit At the Jingle Bell Classic

Did you know that a group of Alligators is called a congregation? Boy did we have a large congregation of Gators at the CGAC Jingle Bell Classic! This was a very big and competitive meet, with several top teams from around the state, as well as outside of Indiana. While for many Gators this was their first meet, our athletes showed up in full force, continuing to show off their growing skills, and bringing home a bunch of jingle bells for their efforts! Indiana Swimming also released their 2023 time standards for Championship Meets, so we’ve got several new Championship Cuts to celebrate! Several highlights are below.

• Anagha Achar – 28^th in Girls 9-10 50 Fly with 3 Lifetime Best swims(LTBs)
• Avaneesh Achar – 32^nd in Boys 11-12 100 Breast with 4 LTBs
• Vincent Barnett – 54^th in Boys 9-10 100 Back with 4 LTBs
• David Brenton – 37^th in Boys Open 200 Back with 5 LTBs
• Rayna Brenton – 17^th in Girls 8 & under 25 Breast with 4 LTBs
• Annie Chrisman – 41^st in Girls Open 100 Fly with 4 LTBs
• Aberdeen Couturier – 12^th in Girls 11-12 50 Breast with 2 LTBs including several Divisional Championship cuts!
• Cooper Cridlin – 25^th in Boys 11-12 100 Breast with 7 LTBs
• Emilia Cridlin – 63^rd in Girls 9-10 100 Back with 3 LTBs
• Bailey DeSantis – 22^nd in Girls 9-10 100 Back with 4 LTBs including a new Divisional Championship cut in the 100 Back!
• Cameron Eadler – 7^th in Girls 8 & under 25 Free with 3 LTBs
• Audrey Evans – 77^th in Girls 11-12 50 Back with 2 LTBs
• Emmanuel Jackson – 9^th in Boys Open 50 Free with 1 LTB, lowering his own 50 Free team record and qualifying for a State Championship cut!
• Marshall Jackson – 6^th in Boys 8 & under 25 Free with 5 LTBs
• Abby Jaskiewicz – 48^th in Girls 9-10 50 Breast with 5 LTBs
• Daniel Klingler – 37^th in Boys 11-12 100 Breast with 5 LTBs
• Griffin Kroll – 25^th in Boys Open 500 Free with 6 LTBs, including several Divisional Championship cuts!
• Kamryn Kroll – 22 in Girls 11-12 100 Fly with 6 LTBs including a Divisional Championship cut in the 50 Free!
• Claire Lecher – 70^th in Girls 9-10 100 Free with 2 LTBs
• Jacob McCoy – 7^th in Boys 9-10 100 Fly with 5 LTBs including a Divisional Championship cut in the 50 Back!
• Nick McCoy – 14^th in Boys Open 500 Free with 8 LTBs, including a new team record in the 1000 Free and Divisional Championship cut in the 100 Back!
• Lila Phillips – 28^th in Girls 11-12 200 IM with 9 LTBs, including new Divisional Championship cuts in the 200 IM, 200 Free, 100 Free!
• Lucas Phillips – 22^nd in Boys 100 Breast with 2 LTBs
• Eleanor Reese – 47^th in Girls 9-10 200 Free with 3 LTBs

As requested, we will hold another Swimming 101 New Parent Meeting Thursday December 1 at 6:45pm in the Greenwood HS cafeteria. We’ll talk about communications, practices, meets, billing, etc. Bring any and all questions you might have. This is aimed at new Gator parents, but everyone is welcome!
