Gator Nation Making Waves At FRST Holiday Season Slam

Our Gator swimmers got their first taste of a prelim/finals format of the season at the FRST Holiday Season Slam and they did not disappoint! The Gators brought home some hardware, several new championship cuts, and a long list of lifetime best swims. Their hard work and continued improvement was on full display as the Gators made waves in the pool. Highlights from the meet are below.

• Hadley Baranko – 41^st in Girls 10 & under 50 Back with 2 LTBs
• David Brenton – 6^th in Boys 13-14 200 Back with 2 LTBs
• Rayna Brenton – 42^nd in Girls 10 & under 50 Back with 1 LTB
• Aberdeen Couturier – 5^th in Girls 11-12 100 Breast with 6 LTBs
• Cameron Eadler – 30^th in Girls 10 & under 100 Free with 4 LTBs
• Ellie Guipe – 2^nd in Girls Open 200 Breast
• Emmanuel Jackson – 1^st place in all 7 events, with 5 LTBs, breaking his own team records in the 50, 100, and 200 Free, setting new team records in the 200 Breast and 200 IM. He also achieved a new State cut in the 200 IM and a new Zone cut in the 100 Free
• Daniel Klingler – 12^th in Boys 11-12 100 Back with 3 LTBs
• Griffin Kroll – 3^rd in Boys 13-14 100 Fly with 4 LTBs and a new Divisional cut in the 100 Fly
• Kamryn Kroll – 10^th in Girls 11-12 50 Fly with 5 LTBs
• Emme Lewallen – 24^th in Girls 11-12 200 Free with 3 LTBs
• Varshini Mandli – 30^th in Girls 11-12 50 Fly with 2 LTBs
• Jacob McCoy – 10^th in Boys 10 & under 200 IM
• Nick McCoy – 1^st in Boys 13-14 500 Free with 2 LTBs
• Adrian Monroe – 23^rd in Girls 11-12 200 Free with 3 LTBs
• Lila Phillips – 11^th in Girls 11-12 200 Free with 6 LTBs and a new Divisional cut in the 50 Breast
• Lucas Phillips – 11^th in Boys 10 & under 200 Free with 4 LTBs and a new Divisional cut in the 100 Free
• Aarya Prajapati – 34^th in Girls 10 & under 50 Fly with 5 LTBs
• Lucas Richardson – 36^th in Boys 10 & under 100 Back with 2 LTBs
• Hadleigh Sawyer – 31^st in Girls 11-12 50 Fly with 3 LTBs
• Reagan Sullivan – 9^th in Girls 10 & under 200 Free with 5 LTBs
• Elyza Tschopp – 5^th in Girls 11-12 50 Free with 7 LTBs
• Graham Vandeventer – 30^th in Boys 10 & under 50 Fly with 4 LTBs
• Nora Young – 28^th in Girls 10 & under 100 Breast with 3 LTBs

We will hold a parent meeting on Thursday January 12 @ 6:30pm in the cafeteria to discuss meets and time standards. We’ll go over championship meets, seeding, prelim/finals format, time standards, etc. This is primarily aimed at Senior/Junior/Dev Black parents but everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!

As we approach the holiday season, as well as entering the Greenwood HS swim team season, please keep an eye out for changes in our practice schedules.
