The Gators Eat Up The Competition at FAST and CGAC

The Swamp has been active this past month as our High School team, Middle School team, and Gators have been working incredibly hard in practice and in the competition pool. Best of luck to the HS girls as they begin Sectional competition tonight at Franklin. The Gators have continued to impress at both the FAST Mudsock Classic and the CGAC Winter Splash meets in the past month. Highlights from both meets are below.

FAST Mudsock Classic

  • Vincent Barnett – 42nd in Boys 10 & under 100 Breast with 2 Lifetime Best Swims (LTBs)
  • David Brenton – 15th in Boys 13-14 200 Back, 5 LTBs, and new Divisional Championship cuts in the 50, 100, 200 Free!
  • Anne Chrisman – 55th in Girls 13-14 100 Back with 3 LTBs
  • Aberdeen Couturier – 3rd in Girls 11-12 50 Breast with 2 LTBs
  • Cooper Cridlin – 15th in Boys 11-12 200 IM with 7 LTBs

Great job to all our Gator swimmers! Its fantastic to see the continued improvement with all these lifetime best swims coming meet after meet. Congratulations to the new members of the Gator Championship Team! And thanks to our amazing coaches Abbi, Brooke, Lucas, and Luke for their hard work all weekend long!

As we start to approach Championship season the end of the short course season is in sight. Practice will continue for all swimmers through mid March until the last Championship meet. Then we will take a break for most of April before we pick back up for summer long course season. More details to come on that.
