Gators Close Out Regular Season With Big Swims At FRST And CGAC

What a great finish to the 2022-2023 regular season! Our Gator swimmers finished strong in 2 February meets at FRST and CGAC. We’ve seen so much improvement across the age groups throughout the entire season and the kids are having so much fun in the process. I couldn’t be more proud of the effort and accomplishments everyone has put forth to this point. For those that have qualified for championship meets we will be looking forward to more fast swims to come in March! Highlights from FRST and CGAC are below.

I’d also like to give a big Congratulations to our HS Boys and Girls teams that have just wrapped up their seasons. In one of the toughest Sectionals in the state of Indiana, the Boys and Girls both finished 4th place as a team. They all have so much to be proud of through their hard work and accomplishments throughout the season. Great job Woodmen!

FRST Provincial

  • David Brenton – 4th in Boys 14 200 Back with 7 LTBs, and a new Divisional Championship cut in the 200 Back!
  • Rayna Brenton – 20th in Girls 9 100 Free with 2 LTBs
  • Anne Chrisman – 17th in Girls 12 100 Back with 2 LTBs
  • Aberdeen Couturier – 4th in Girls 12 50 Breast with 1 LTB
  • Bailey DeSantis – 7th in Girls 50 Back with 3 LTBs
  • Cameron Eadler – 10th in Girls 9 50 Free with 2 LTBs
  • Adam Geryak – 12th in Boys 10 100 Fly with 6 LTBs
  • Emmanuel Jackson – 4 1st place finishes with 6 LTBs, including a new State cut in the 100 Fly and new Zone cuts in the 50 and 200 Free. He also set a new team record in the 500 Free, and lowered his own records in the 50, 100, 200 Free and 200 IM!
  • Marshall Jackson – 9th in Boys 9 50 Free with 3 LTBs
  • Abigail Jaskiewicz – 13th in Girls 10 100 Breast with 4 LTBs
  • Daniel Klingler – 9th in Boys 11 100 Breast with 1 LTB
  • Griffin Kroll – 3rd in Boys 13 200 Back with 4 LTBs
  • Kamryn Kroll – 7th in Girls 12 100 Fly with 5 LTBs
  • Jacob McCoy – 6th in Boys 9 200 Free with 1 LTB and a new Divisional Championship cut in the 200 Free!
  • Nick McCoy – 2nd in Boys 13 200 IM with 2 LTBs and a new State Championship cut in the 100 Breast!
  • Naomi Orlando – 22nd in Girls 11 100 Back with 4 LTBs
  • Lila Phillips – 10th in Girls 11 500 Free with 3 LTBs
  • Lucas Phillips – 6th in Boys 9 50 Free with 6 LTBs and new Divisional Championship cuts in the 50 and 200 Free and 50 Fly!
  • Espn Schacht – 7th in Boys 12 200 Free with 3 LTBs
  • Reagan Sullivan – 8th in Girls 10 100 Free with 1 LTB
  • Elyza Tschopp – 3rd in Girls 11 200 Free with 7 LTBs and new State Championship cuts in the 50 and 200 Free!
  • Graham Vandeventer – 20th in Boys 10 50 Fly with 5 LTBs
  • Nora Young – 9th in Girls 9 100 Fly with 1 LTB
  • Boys 13-14 200 Medley Relay (Brenton, McCoy, Kroll, Jackson) finished 3rd  with a State Championship time!
  • Girls 11-12 200 Medley Relay (Phillips, Couturier, Kroll, Tschopp) finished 11th
  • Boys 13-14 200 Free Relay (Brenton, McCoy, Kroll, Jackson) finished 2nd with a State Championship cut time!
  • Girls 11-12 200 Free Relay (Tschopp, Couturier, Kroll, Phillips) finished 5th

CGAC Chasestrong

  • David Brenton – 16th in Open 100 Back with 2 LTBs
  • Aberdeen Couturier – 1st in Girls 11-12 50 Breast with 3 LTBs with a new State Championship cut in the 50 Breast!
  • Cameron Eadler – 41st in Girls 12 & under 100 Free with 1 LTB and a new Divisional Championship cut in the 50 Back!
  • Emmanuel Jackson – 2nd in Boys Open 100 Back with 1 LTB and a new State Cut and new team record in the 100 Back!
  • Marshall Jackson – 34th in Boys 12 & under 100 Free
  • Abigail Jaskiewicz – 35th in Girls 12 & under 100 Free with 1 LTB
  • Anvitha Kuna – 3rd in Girls 8 & under  25 Breast with 4 LTBs

Our season is rapidly coming to an end. As we enter Championship season please note that all swimmers may continue to practice through March 16. The practice calendar is updated through the end of the season. Please be on the lookout for additional season ending information in the coming weeks as well as information for the upcoming summer long course season.
