Season Kicks Off With Interswamp and FRST Meets of Fall

Its been an awesome start to the short course season and our Gators are off to a strong start! Our pool has been bursting through the first couple months of practice with lots of new swimmers and some great practice work in the pool. We held our Gator Interswamp meet to get into the competitive spirit, then we set off for our first official meet at the FRST Meet of the Fall in Franklin this past weekend. The Gators showed up in full force and laid down some fast swims to start off the season right. Individual highlights from the meet are below.

A few important notes and reminders:

• Today is our Dine to Donate at Prodigy Burger Bar. Please come support Gators by grabbing some dinner out tonight!
• The Oct 31st deadline for submitting Gator scholarship essays is fast approaching. Please encourage your swimmer to write about what swimming and Gators means to them and submit entries to [email protected] by Oct 31.
• With the beginning of high school season, Gators will see adjusted practice times, and at times cancellations due to home meets. We will do our best to update the Calendar to reflect these changes so keep on eye on the calendar. When we do have cancelled practice due to home meets, we encourage all our swimmers to come cheer on the Woodmen!
• We will soon be opening up a team apparel store for all our families. This will include Gator branded shirts, pants, shorts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, etc. Details will be coming soon so keep an eye out for an email in the next few weeks.
