Gators Bring Home Some Hardware At IN Swimming SE Divisional Championships

The Gators showed up big time at the Indiana Swimming SE Divisional Championship meet this past weekend! With a big contingent of Gators on hand, our swimmers threw down some awesome swims, along with some bussin drip on the pool deck! We had many finals qualifers for top 16, made several trips to the podium for top 8 finishes and saw many lifetime best swims on the day. Highlights from the meet are below.

IN Swimming SE Divisional Championships

• David Brenton – Five swims with 26^th in Boys Open 100 Back with 2 LTBs
• Anne Chrisman – Three swims with 33^rd in Girls 13-14 200 Free with 3 LTBs
• Aberdeen Couturier – Six swims with two Girls 13-14 finals swims, a 9^th in 200 Breast and a podium 8^th in 100 Breast and 2 LTBs
• Cooper Cridlin – One swim with 59^th in Boys 13-14 50 Free
• Bailey DeSantis – Six swims with three Girls 10& Under podium finished with 5^th, 6^th, and 8^th place finishes in 200 Free, 50 Free, 100 Free respectively and 3 LTBs
• Austin Holt – Four swims with 27^th in Boys 13-14 200 Free and 3 LTBs
• Tyson Holt – Four swims with one Boys 13-14 finals swim with a 11^th in 200 Free and 4 LTBs
• Emmanuel Jackson – Six swims with five Boys Open finals swims, three podium finishes with 5^th, 8^th, 8^th in 100 Breast, 100 Fly, 200 Free respectively, and 2 LTBs
• Marshall Jackson – Six swims with a Boys 10& Under podium finish 8^th in 50 Free and 3 LTBs
• Griffin Kroll – Six swims with six Boys 13-14 finals swims, podium 1^st, 1^st, 4^th, 4^th, 4^th in 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free respectively, 6 LTBs, and new State Championship cuts in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 50 Free!
• Kamryn Kroll – Six swims with four Girls 13-14 finals swims, two 10^th finishes in the 50, 100 Free, and 6 LTBs
• Elizabeth McCoy – Three swims with 19^th in Girls Open 50 Free
• Jacob McCoy – Six swims with a 9^th in Boys 10& Under 200 IM and 3 LTBs
• Nick McCoy – Six swims with six Boys 13-14 finals swims, podium 1^st, 3^rd, 3^rd, 5^th, 5^th in 200 IM, 100 Free, 200 Free, 50 Free, 500 Free, 5 LTBs, and a new State Championship cut in the 200 IM!
• Adrian Monroe – One swim with 82^nd in Girls 13-14 50 Free and one LTB
• Naomi Orlando – Two swims with 34^th in Girls 11-12 50 Free and 2 LTBs
• Addison Pate – Four swims with 10^th in Girls 10& Under 50 Fly and 3 LTBs
• Lila Phillips – Six swims with six Girls 11-12 finals swims, podium 2^nd, 4^th, 5^th, 5^th, 5^th in 50 Fly, 200 Free, 50 Back, 100 Fly, 100 Breast respectively, and 5 LTBs
• Lucas Phillips – Six swims, six Boys 10& Under podium finishes with 1^st, 1^st, 1^st, 2^nd, 2^nd, 5^th in 50 Fly, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Free, 50 Free, 50 Breast respectively, 6 LTBs, and new State Championship cuts in the 100 Free, 200 Free, and 100 Fly!
• Lucas Richardson – Three swims with a 10^th in Boys 10& Under 50 Fly and 1 LTB
• Ethan Rose – Six swims with a Boys Open podium 7^th in 200 Back
• Espn Schacht – Three swims with a 19^th in Boys 13-14 100 Breast and 2 LTBs
• Reagan Sullivan – Four swims with a Girls 11-12 finals 16^th in 200 Free and a LTB
• Emma Tschopp – Six swims with a Girls Open podium 5^th in 50 Free and 5 LTBs
• Boys 10& Under 200 Medley Relay team of Jacob McCoy, Marshall Jackson, Lucas Phillips, and Lucas Richardson finished on the podium with 4^th place!
• Boys 13-14 200 Free Relay team of Griffin Kroll, Espn Schacht, Austin Holt, Tyson Holt finished 10^th
• Boys 13-14 200 Medley Relay team of Tyson Holt, Nick McCoy, Griffin Kroll, Austin Holt finished on the podium with 3^rd place!

A few important notes and reminders

• Summer long course season begins April 15. Active short course swimmers do not need to reregister again. Registration for new swimmers will open in March with full details to come shortly.
• We will be holding a Swim-a-thon, short course season celebration, long course season kickoff party Saturday April 27^th. Please mark your calendars to join us, with more details to come soon.
