Gators Charge Into the Season: Impressive Meet Performances and New Pool Upgrades Ahead!

The months of October and November have been great for our Gators as they kicked off strong with the FRST Meet of Fall and the PCA Winter invite hosted by Franklin Regional Swim Team and Plainfield Community Aquatics respectively. The season is still young, but our swimmers are already demonstrating the results of their hard work. Well done to everyone!

IMPORTANT UPDATES
New Board Members: We extend our thanks and congratulations to the newly elected board members. They will join incumbent members Sabrina Couturier (Treasurer) and Chris Barnett (SafeSport Coordinator) to form the club's board of directors. This strong team will guide and lead the club over the next few years. Concluding their service to the board of directors is President Steve McCoy and Vice President Sarah Jackson. Please give them a giant thank you. They deserve all the gratitude we can muster. In particular, it’s not hyperbole to say the Gators still exist (and are thriving today) because of Steve’s leadership.

New Lessons Coordinator: We would like to share that longtime Swim Lessons Coordinator, Jenni Sheets, will be stepping down from her role after many years of dedicated service. Jenni has played a crucial part in building and expanding our swim lessons program, which is essential to the team's sustainability. Her hard work and commitment have made a lasting impact. When you see Jenni, please take a moment to thank her for her outstanding contributions.

New Starting Blocks: We are excited to officially announce that our pool will be getting new starting blocks! This much-needed upgrade has been a long time coming, as the current blocks are significantly worn and have become a safety concern. The new blocks were ordered last month, and our goal is to have them installed before the first high school meet of the season.
