Sharks circle Biloxi!

Over 20 swimmers from each training group competed last weekend in the annual Nu Wave Summer LC Open in Biloxi last weekend. The meet was highlighted by several new events swum and a few new state qualifying times. This time of year is usually spent preparing for adding to their championship lineups or perfecting events one will swim at their championship meet. Several new events were swum, as were several athletes competing LCM for the first time.

Meet highlights include: 

Luke B – Dropped 2 in 100 free, swam 100 fly & 400 free for first time in LCM.  

Grace B – Earned State qualifying time in 400 IM; swam 200 back LCM for first time.  

Greyson C – Swam 100 free & 100 back in his 2nd LCM meet this summer.  

Iris C – Dropped 2 in 100 breast and swam 200 free for first time in LCM, earning a new State qualifying time.  

Lily C – Dropped 19 in 400 free and 6 in 200 free for a new state qualifying time.  

Abby G – Dropped 4 in 50 free and swam 200 free for the first time in LCM.  

Gavin H – Dropped 1 in 100 free and swam first 200 free in LCM.  

Jenna H – Dropped almost 8 in 200 free and 5 in 100 breast with a negative split! 

Cael H – Competed in his first ever LCM meet, swimming all 4 50s, 100 free and 100 breast.  

Violet L – Dropped 10 in 100 back from last summer.  

Luke R-Y – Competed in his first ever LCM meet, swimming 50 free, 100 free, and 100 back. 

Brady R – Dropped almost 6 in 100 breast; swam 100 back, 100 free, and 50 breast for the first time. 

Leah R – Dropped 19 in 100 back and 2 in the 50 back from April.  

Olivia R – Dropped 11 in the 200 backstroke to earn a Sr State qual time as a 12 year old.  

Louis R – Dropped 10 in the 400 free from May; 11 in the 100 breast from last summer, earning new State qualifying times in each event.  

Trevin T – Dropped 4 in 200 fly from last summer; earned season best times in 200 free, 100 free, and 100 back.  

Bernadette T – Dropped 1 in 200 free, swam 200 back for first time in LCM.  

Cam T – Dropped 4 in 50 breast and 1.5 in 50 free.  

Lucy T – Dropped 20 in 100 breast and 45 in 400 free from last summer.  

Henry W – Competed in first LCM meet swimming 50 and 100 freestyle & backstroke respectively.
