A New Orleans native, Coach Max is the longest serving
coach on the Elmwood Sharks staff. He swam for the Sharks and his
highschool, Jesuit, from 2014 till 2020, and began work as a coach
right after. Max does his best to maintain a jovial and
constructive atmosphere on deck.
Max graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans, where he
achieved a BA with honor in Philosophy, as well as minors in
Economics and Business Administration. Max has worked as a
lifeguard, an altar sever, and a video game tester. He’s
currently a swim coach, personal caretaker for folks with
developmental disabilities, and private swim instructor for Ochsner
Fitness Center. These occupations lend a variety of skills geared
towards personal interaction and growth of students. Max is
happy to apply his skills in or out of the pool to help swimmers
achieve their best.
In the sweet and seldom spare time not covered in chlorine, Max
enjoys video games, reading, and spending time with his family.
