Coaches and Directors
Coach O is the Director of the Competitive Swim Program and has been a teacher in the East Penn School District for over 25 years, with his first 21 at Eyer Middle School where he met his wife Tracie who teaches 7th grade science. Tim is an English teacher at Emmaus High School, and the Head Swimming & Diving Coach.
He first began at EMAC in September of 1996 and was named Head Age Group Coach in October of that year.
During his tenure at EMAC, Tim was part of the expansion in purchasing the Emmaus High School Team's second home in Millbrook Farms, which was a year-round training facility. At this time, EMAC went through not just the physical growth of a training facility, but a team growth as well. Progressively, EMAC's Age Group Program grew, as did their lessons and Senior Group through the idea of providing a foundation for all athletes to be prepared to swim all events, but also to compete against other teams and even against their own teammates.
Coach O was appointed to the USA Swimming Age Group Coaches Association Coaches Clinic at the USA Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1998 and then he was named an Assistant Coach for the Middle Atlantic Zone Swim Team Championships for both the winter and summer teams of 1999. He was then named Head Coach for both Zone Team events in 2000. The Middle Atlantic Team won the winter championship. During his tenure at EMAC, our swimmers qualified and competed annually for this team.
He stepped down from head coaching duties after the 2007 season, but since 2010 he has progressively been showing up more and more at EMAC to assist in a variety of ways.
Tim's high school teams have won a combined 7 State Championships. He was elected into the Pennsylvania Aquatics Hall of Fame in 2015 and he is active with the PA High School Swim Coaches Association.
Tim and Tracie have two children, Molly and Bailey. Molly is a student at Penn State University and Bailey is a 2024 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he was a Varsity Lacrosse Player.

Coach Zach is the lead coach for our senior program. Prior to EMAC, Zach swam competitively for 16 years at the West Shore YMCA, York YMCA and Harvard. Upon graduation, he coached for 3 years as a senior group assistant at Quicksilver Swimming based in San Jose, California. Outside of swimming, he enjoys football and music.

Coach Art is the LEAD Junior Group Coach. He has a combined 47 years of competitive swimming experience at Age Group, High School, Collegiate (Rider University '89), and Masters levels, along with 10 years of coaching experience, most recently as the Head Coach of Berkeley Aquatic Club in New Jersey. His youngest son is an EMAC Alumnus and is currently swimming at Bloomsburg University.
Outside of swimming, Art had a 34-year professional career at Verizon, several years in the New Jersey Army National Guard as a reservist, and decades spent as a semi-professional musician.

Sean has been coaching in the Lehigh Valley for more than 10 years at both the club level and high school level. A former swimmer for Allentown Central Catholic High School, Sean was never able to swim at the collegiate level due to a career ending shoulder injury. He went on to earn two degrees, one in English and another in secondary education.
Sean was a teacher in East Penn SD before heading back to ACCHS where he taught 11th and 12th grade English for several years. He left that position in December of 2022 when he assumed the role of Facilities Director for EMAC. Now working full time for EMAC, Sean's goal is to see the club continue to grow in numerous ways.
He resides in Alburtis with his wife Paula and two children, Tegan and Makenzie.
