MDSI ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS

Eligible athletes from the Class of 2026 can apply for the MDSI Athlete Scholarship. The 10 highest scoring applicants will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.  Awards are paid directly to the applicant's college or university.

Application period - 1/15/2026 through 4/1/2026 (applications received 4/2/2026 or after will NOT be accepted)

Application Requirements

1 - Submit application by April 1, 2026

2 - Graduating with the Class of 2026

3 - 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or better

4 - Maryland Swimming Athlete for four (4) consecutive years prior to high school graduation

5 - Swam in at least four (4) meets per year in the 4 years prior to applying for this scholarship

6 - Never been enrolled in a post secondary educational institution as a full time student

7 - Never represented a college institution in competition

8 - All awarded scholarships must be included in application

NOTE: Applicants with scholarships totaling more than 25% of their tuition may not be considered for the MDSI Scholarship.
