2026 Eastern & Southern Zone Athlete Summit

The Eastern and Southern Zones are sponsoring the 2026 Athlete Summit for those who will be in 9th through 12th grade for the 2026-2027 season.   The summit will be held June 18 - 21, 2026 at Emory University.  
 

2026 Summit Mission:  To engage zone athletes in bold, collaborative conversations and wild idea-sharing across LSCs, pushing the boundaries of creativity and leadership, to develop action plans that spark effective communication, drive impactful change, and ensure lasting success and continuity for LSC athlete committees.

 

2026 Summit Vision: “Go Wild!: Bold Ideas, Real Action.”

  • Diving deeper into critical thinking and creativity to solving problems and creating solutions.

  • Engaging with National Committees to work towards collective problem solving

  • Understanding the necessary skills for critical thinking, communication, and problem solving

Maryland Swimming will select a minimum of 4 athletes to attend the retreat and will arrange travel, lodging and meals for those selected to attend.  Depending on the number of athletes selected to participate and the budget funds available, athletes may be asked to contribute no more than $200 each.  All other expenses will be paid by Maryland Swimming.  

If you are interested in attending the retreat please submit this form no later than Tuesday, February 17, 2026.  All athletes must have their parent or guardian's permission to submit an application.  Applicants will be selected on a first come first serve basis.
