MDSI CLUB AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIP MEET REIMBURSEMENT

Description

Clubs may request reimbursement of athlete and coach meet participation and travel expenses for the items and at the amounts listed below for NSCA, ISCA or other approved age group meets.

Reimbursable expenses include airfare, lodging, car rental, mileage at the federal rate for use of a personal vehicle, parking and entry fees.

Reimbursable limits

Up to $500 per Athlete and per Coach for every 5 participating athletes.

Up to $250 for 1 Male and 1 Female Chaperone each for team travel only.

With at least one qualifying athlete, clubs are eligible for up to an additional $500 for 10-19 participating athletes and $1000 for 20 or more participating athletes.

Requirements / Restrictions

Athletes must be a current USA Swimming Athlete Member in good standing registered with MDSI.

Athletes must place 1st or 2nd in an individual event at the MDSI 14 & Under Championship Meet.

Athletes placing 3rd may be eligible if the 1st or 2nd place athlete does not complete in one of the meets listed above.

Athletes placing multiple times, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will only be counted one time for the award.

Eligible athletes must participate in one of the meets listed above.

Coach must be 18 or older and a current USAS Member in good standing.

Chaperone must be a USAS Member in good standing.

A club may not receive both the Age Group Championship Meet Reimbursement and the Athlete Performance Grant from any one athlete for the Short Course Season.

Payment may be prorated based on the number of requests received and budget funds available.

Athletes may be given priority for available funds before coach travel stipend.

Receipts must be provided for any reimbursement.

​Reimbursements shall be made payable to the club.
