ONYX Synchro Coaching Staff

The coaching staff at ONYX Synchronized Skating brings an enormous amount of experience, expertise and enthusiasm to each and every team.

Helene Wolf - Director

Helene Wolf has over two decades of synchronized skating experience serving as Co-Director at Team Élan and Phoenix, and she now serves as director for ONYX Synchronized Skating. Her teams have earned 15 U.S National medals and 4 National Championships. She has experienced coaching synchronized skating at every level including Synchro Skills, Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, Adult, Open Adult and Open Masters divisions. 

Helene is PSA Master Rated in Synchronized Skating, Group Instruction, Moves in the Field with a Senior Level Ratings in Freestyle and Program Director. She also holds a Level IV Ranking with the Professional Skating Association.  Heather Blasko

Heather Blasko has more than two decades of experience as a synchronized skating director and coach, and recently served as a Novice Team coach for the 2017 National Championship qualifying team at ONYX Synchro. She also coached both IJS and Open division teams out of Lakeland Arena for twenty years. Her teams have won three Midwestern Championships in the Open Juvenile division, and Pre-Juvenile Midwestern Championships were won in 1999, 2006 and 2010. She also served as head coach to the 2006 National Champions, Team Elan Adult, at Detroit Skating Club (DSC).

Heather’s credentials include the Gold Dance medal, 7th Figure test and Novice Freestyle.  She was also a member of the original DSC Novice and Senior synchro teams, as well as Team Elan Adult from 1993 - 2005.  She is a 1992 graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism and continues to work days as a freelance public relations consultant.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Erin Bridge

Erin was head coach of Spartan Synchronized Skating at Michigan State University from 2006-2012 where her teams earned 5 National Championship Collegiate Medals. 

During her competitive career, Erin competed in the Senior division for 10 years for both Team USA (Team Elan) and Team Canada (black ice and Fusion).   She earned four World Championship medals with black ice and eleven National Championship Medals (4 gold). In 2002, her team was named the Canadian Team of the Year.   Erin has a US Figure Skating Gold Freeskate, Senior Moves in the Field, and Pre-Gold Dance test.  She graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and GIS.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         



Tracy Daniels

Tracey is a ten-time National medalist, holding 4 National titles, a ten-time international competitor, holding 3 International medals, 2 International titles, 2 Junior World Bronze Medals and a Senior World Bronze Medal for the Freeskate. In 2005, she was one of four skaters in the nation selected to represent the Synchronized Skating discipline at the High Performance Camp at the Olympic Training Center. Tracey has achieved her International Dances, Senior Moves in the Field and Junior Freestyle test. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.

Tracey coaches the ONYX Synchronized Skating Teams in the Synchro Skills  and Pre-Juvenile/Juvenile divisions and assisted with the Michigan State University Collegiate team in the 2014-2015 season. She has over 10 years of competitive synchronized skating experience beginning her career in 2002 on the Chicago Jazz Novice Team, where she spent 5 years competing through the Junior level. From there she became a member of the Haydenettes. She finished her competitive career skating for Erin Bridge, as a member of Michigan State’s Spartan Synchronized Skating Team holding the title as captain for the 2010-2011 season.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Sara Jack Grzymkowski

With more than two decades of synchronized skating experience, Sara is one of the country’s most accomplished and recognized team skaters.  Her numerous career achievements include being a member of the inaugural World Championship Team in 2000 with Team Elan, serving as Senior team captain at the 2003 U.S. Synchro Nationals, and earning 20 National medals, six International Medals and one Senior National Championship in 1995. Sara has achieved her Senior Moves in the Field, 6th Figure test, Novice Freestyle test and Pre-Silver Dances.  She is a former member of the USFS Athletes Advisory Committee and a former board member. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health sciences with minors in exercise science and psychology from Oakland University.

Sara coaches the ONYX Pre-Juvenile/Juvenile and Synchro Skills teams.  She served as head coach for Pre-Juvenile and Beginner teams at Team du Coeur in Waterford, earning the Midwestern Pre-Juvenile Championship in 2010 and working with Beginner, Preliminary, Juvenile, Open Juvenile and Novice teams during this time.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Amanda Murley

Amanda began synchronized skating in 1996 and skated at the Preliminary through Senior, Collegiate and Adult levels. Her achievements include 7 national medals including 2 national gold medals and various International medals. She was part of Team U.S.A. for Synchronized Skating from 2001 – 2005. Amanda graduated from Michigan State University where she was a member of the synchronized skating team from 2005 - 2008 and was Vice President of the team for both the 2007 and 2008 seasons. She is a graduate of the DePaul University College of Law and works a judicial staff attorney at the Oakland County Circuit Court.

Amanda was most recently head coach of the ONYX Synchro Skills 1 Team, as well as assistant for the ONYX Novice team, and has worked with the synchro teams at the ONYX for more than 10 years.  Amanda began coaching approximately twelve years ago and has been involved in both U.S.F.S. and I.S.I. Learn to Skate programs as well as individual coaching, Special Olympics and synchronized skating.
