Joey King, a graduate of Eastview High School in 2012, was an all-conference, all-metro, and all-state selection. He continued his education and basketball career at Drake University where he was a member of the Missouri Valley Conference all freshman team. After one season at Drake, Joey accepted a scholarship to play for the University of Minnesota. As a three year starter he lead the Gophers in three point shooting percentage, owns the school record for free throw percentage, and accumulated over 1,100 career points. 

While athletic success was important to Joey's legacy as a Gopher, he believed being a good student and role model within the community came first. As a member of the Dean's list throughout his career, he achieved academic all Big Ten honors for two years. Joey was also awarded the Big Ten Conference Sportsmanship Award in recognition of outstanding sportsmanship and community service in 2016. After graduating in May, 2016 he began his professional basketball career in Europe. While playing for Kataja Basket, a member of the Champions League, Joey played in 11 countries over 7 months. 

After returning from his first professional season overseas, Joey transitioned to professional 3x3 in an effort to remain closer to his family. He competes in Team USA, Redbull, and FIBA tournaments around the world each summer. His team, sponsored by 3Ball USA, currently holds the Red Bull Reign 3x3 World Title.
