Age Group, Swimmers of the Month –

Zara Maleche:  Age Group

Zara is as tough as they come.  Determined to race and to stand apart from others, including her big sister, Zara achieved many state championships this summer. Zara has improved a lot this year, and we’re excited to see her progress.  Way to go, Zara!

Addy Trnka: Age Group

Addy has shown tremendous growth over the spring and summer session. Her technique and speed have improved significantly, and she’s dropped time in many of her events—it’s been so fun to watch her dominate in the pool! Addy shows up to every practice ready to give it 100%, setting a great example for her teammates. She’s a natural leader in our group, and the other swimmers really look up to her. On top of all that, she’s always kind and supportive, making her a standout both in and out of the water. We’re so proud of you, Addy!

Senior Swimmers of the Month –

Adam Schmiesing: Senior 1

Adam is our swimmer of the month for July. Congrats Adam! You are the definition of a great teammate.  You are always positive around everyone. Adam accepts any challenge at practice and works hard. His hard work has paid off this summer and will continue to show as he progresses.

Devin Tholen: Senior 1

Devin had a great first summer with Mantas Swim Club.  Devin learned that the work he put in during the early spring practices helped him to succeed later in July.  Devin raced hard at our MRC’s meet and was able to make the State team.  His positive attitude allowed him to keep his focus on his goals even when he couldn’t be in the pool due to a broken nose. Way to go, Devin!  You are an awesome addition to our team!

Coach Alex & Coach Luke

Elliot Bartell: Senior 2

Elliot had another great summer, breaking records, and keeping his focus always on the end of the season. When facing difficulty, Elliot swam. When running into obstacles, Elliot swam. When his schedule seemed to be too packed to practice, Elliot swam. And when the team needed him to race another weekend for the State boys, Elliot swam.  We are proud of your determination and focus in and out of the pool, Elliot.
