North Ballet Youth Company is a 501c3, non-profit organization with a mission to bring the art of classical ballet out into the community. To pursue this mission, we prepare an abbreviated version of the classic Nutcracker ballet to bring to local schools, senior living centers, libraries, and Children's Hospital's of Minnesota. Our biggest event is the staged performances of the full length classical story of the Nutcracker Ballet. Our annual costs are approximately $60,000 the majority to which goes to put on the staged production; other costs go to administrative costs and paid directors and professional level performers. We rely on fundraisers and donations to continue to accomplish our mission.

As a 501c3, we fundraise throughout the year. Fundraisers we have been able to participate in the past have been a dinner night at Noodles & Co, a portion of purchases from Malmbourg's Garden Center, and a penny drive during summer classes. Our annual cash raffle and popcorn sales happen in the autumn by our dancers as we are prepping and rehearsing for the seasonal performances.
