GROUP SWIM LESSONS

We offer two swim lessons per week, as well as one lesson per week. You can find all details below.

POLICIES & DETAILED INFORMATION

  • 30 minute lessons, all lessons are instructor led, no parents are in the water
  • Available to anyone that is potty trained and ages 3-12
  • Swimmers should bring a swimsuit and towel to lessons. Goggles and swim caps are optional
  • All lessons are held at the Rec Center, warm water pool, which is heated to 85 degrees
  • All registrants MUST use door #4 to enter and exit the Rec Center. Door #4 is located on the southeast side of the building, off of the main parking lot - see the map
  • Swimmer to instructor ratios of 4:1
  • If your swimmer misses lessons due to vacation, other commitments, etc. we do NOT offer make-up lessons.
  • CANCELLATIONS: The only way we will communicate ANY cancellation is through the Rainout Line. No emails will be sent. Be sure to download the app on your phone, visit the website or call the phone number for all updates. 
    BE SURE TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS VIA TEXT OR EMAIL. Any notifications will also be posted to our Facebook page (Rochester Swim Club - Swim Lessons)
    * Pool accidents occur occassionally as we work with young children, also weather issues arise.
  • No family locker rooms are available. Children ages 5+ MUST us their appropriate locker room

COVID ITEMS:

  • No siblings are allowed to attend, unless they can be in a stroller or stay next to the parent for the entirety of the lesson
  • EVERYONE is required to wear masks inside the Rec Center. Swimmers can pass their mask to the parent as they walk into the pool
  • On deck managers and instructors will be masked or wearing face shields until further notice
  • IF your child is feeling ill, awaiting a Covid test, is in quarantine, etc. Parents you MUST email [email protected] prior to 2pm on your swimmers scheduled lesson day in order to be eligible for any make-up lesson or a credit for any missed lesson to be arranged
