New Channel added to the USA Swimming Network!

The Michael McCaffery Swimming Archive is the newest channel on the USA Swimming Network. Dive into the McCaffery Archive to watch some of the most memorable record-breaking moments in swimming history. The channel features World Records, American Records, and more exciting races from as far back as 1980.

Record Breaking Swims

1980: Mary Meagher 200M Butterfly
 

In 1980, 15 year old Mary Meagher broke her own 200M Butterfly World Record at the 1980 National Championships.

 

1999: Lenny Krayzelburg 100M Backstroke
 

Watch as Lenny Krayzelburg sweeps the backstroke events and secures a World Records in the 50M, 100M, and 200M Backstrokes at the 1999 Pan Pacific Championships.

 

2006: Michael Phelps 200M IM
 

Over the years there have been many close races between Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. The 2006 200M Individual Medley was one that resulted in a World Record. Winning by under .3 seconds, Phelps took home the gold.
