Hello Sharks!!

SAVE THE DATES -

Nov 22 - Elk River Swim Meet
FUNDRAISING -
Support the habitat our Sharks swim in! Let's reignite a swim team tradition and continue the legacy of Sharks families supporting the Y.
Donations to the Southdale YMCA provide childcare, health and wellness, youth development, and senior programs for over thousands of community members, as well as life-saving water skills for adults and children and the financial aid necessary for any individual or family that wants to participate. Donate here and share our link with your swim community and cheerleaders today.
Questions about giving to the Y? Please contact Shark parent Anne Hoyt Taff at [email protected] or 651-319-2030.
MANDATORY PARENT MEETINGS -
For the NEW families that are just joining us and for the RETURNING families that are returning now in November, everyone is responsible to attend ONE mandatory parent meeting.
Parent meetings are held during practices so please plan on attending ONE meeting. All parents need to sign in for this meeting to receive their parent packet and mandatory swimmer form.
Meeting date -
Wednesday, November 12th - 5pm & 6:15pm
RETURNING HS GIRLS -
Please get a copy of your top times from your HS coach as soon as you can and email them to Katie. I would like to enter your times into our system so we have them listed as seed times for your upcoming meets with us. I need an official copy from the coach for your times to be counted towards Regionals. If I can get them by next Friday, would be great!!
MEET DAY INFORMATION -
Meet day information will be sent out on the Friday (night) before a meet. Please start looking for it after 5pm. Pending the host team, you should receive the heat and lane assignments and possibly the program for meet day.
Programs are no longer printed but use a QR code for families.
Please plan to spend the day at a swim meet. Traditionally, meets last 3-4 hours plus warmup and arrival time. Families are welcome to bring food/snacks to meets, we just ask that swimmers STAY on site and do not leave even if they have a lot of time between events.
RIBBONS -
Shoreview has not received their season ribbons yet so we are still waiting on ribbons from the Shoreview meet.
Ribbons from our home meet will be in the ribbon file by THIS Thursday.
White Bear meet ribbons will need to be picked up later this week/early next week, I will let you know when they are ready.
Have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions.
Katie
