We just completed another solid training week, and are looking forward to our upcoming meets and championship meets on our calendar. More info to come throughout the week on those events.

For those of you have not not noticed, we have added 3 Assistant Coaches this week to our Roster. Please take a moment to welcome Coach Nicole Orellana, Coach Timothy Stetcher, and Coach Frank Messina to our SSC Family!

3) SSC Turkey Trot Distance Meet Reminder

  • Please take a moment to look at and submit your entry to our upcoming SSC Turkey Trot DISTANCE SWIM MEET. The SSC Turkey Trok Distance Meet will be held at Sachem North HS on Friday, November 19th. 
  • The following events will be offered - 500 Freestyle, 400 IM, and 1650 Freestyle. Splits for the 1000 Freestyle.
  • All Seniors and Juniors are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to participate in 1 event. Select Novice Swimmers are invited but must confirm with Coach Mike, which event they can register for.

4) Novice Group Announcement

  • We are excited to announce that we are moving forward with Coach Mike Newell as the New Novice Group Head Coach from here forward. Mike has been an asset to our coaching staff over the years and has taken to the Novice group well with a fun new programming style! We look forward to seeing the progress that Coach Mike will make with Novice and all of its athletes. Please take a moment to congratulate Coach Mike on his new role!
