Hey team,

Happy Sunday! What a week! We just wrapped up Day 2 of our Fitter and Faster Stroke Clinic and it was a huge success. Thank you to all who participated. I hope that everyone learned something new and had a chance to speak with our amazing Clinicians Amini and Emma. What an honor to work with such talented swimmers.

Congrats to all who attended the distance meet this past Friday as well. We swam extremely well once again and are so excited to see another bout of best times in another array of events. SSC is on fire and I am so excited to see the progress across all groups continuing even at the distance level. 42 Best times, 90% improvement as a team. WOW!

Thanks again all for another fantastic week! This upcoming Holiday week will have an atypical pool schedule. Please be sure to review all the information below!

2. Beginner/Beginner Plus Assignments
  • This week Beginners and Beginner Plus will be held at the Holtsville YMCA located at 155 Buckley Road, Holtsville NY, 11742, due to the school closure.
  • Seniors, please consider staying after practice to assist with the program(s).
  • Juniors who are off, please consider coming in to help.
  • If you are interested in helping this Wednesday, please email Coach Kyle at [email protected] to be added to our list
  • There will be no Beginner or Beginner Plus Practice this Saturday 11/27, due to pool closures.

3. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Drop off/Pick Up at Sachem EAST

  • It has been brought to my attention by the district that many of our swim parents have been parking at or idling their vehicles too close to the loading dock area. Recently, cones were placed to deter this from happening. We ask that you all please park in a real parking spot and only pull up to your swimmer when they exit the building. We understand that lighting is poor in the back area and we want to remind you all that you are permitted to view practices from the bleachers and enter the building to pick up your swimmers provided you follow the school's mask and distance rules. We certainly encourage parents to come inside to pick up their swimmers. We appreciate your cooperation with this rule and the ongoing inconveniences caused by COVID protocols that the district and NYS are requiring us to take. We hope that you understand that maintaining a good relationship with the district itself is paramount to the operations of our club.
