Hello Team,
We are having a blast here at Sr Mets. Congrats to Muhtar Konar, Ian Mei, Samantha Watson, and Brooke Orner on qualification!
Looking forward at the schedule, we have one more championship meet and a few additional end of the year events to get your eyes on.
Beginners & Beginner Plus Swimmers - Please review the schedule in detail and plan on arriving to Sachem East on Tuesday a little early so that we can begin Warm Up immediately!
Good luck to all of our swimmers swimming next weekend in Junior Olympics! Please review the meet information and entry list attached to the meet on our website to see if you are on a relay! You may have made a relay without an individual event qualification!
ALL SWIMMERS AND PARENTS: Please note that we are expected to experience a heat wave this coming week. In the past, the Town of Brookhaven has extended their public pool use hours of the Holtsville Ecology Center Pool. Please keep an eye on all emails and reminds this week as we will move practices indoors if necessary.

Hello Team,
Please be advised that due to the Heat Wave, the Town of Brookhaven has elected to extend their public pool hours at the Holtsville Ecology Center site until 7pm. With this in mind, we have made some adjustments to our practice schedule below.
Please see the revised practice schedule for this week.
Beginners and Beginner Plus Swimmers. Thank you for your cooperation with yesterday's changes. Please see the revised practice schedule and meet information below for tonight!
Seniors - Please consider staying after practice this evening, or dropping into the Beginner meet to assist with timing! We need all the help that we can get and PIZZA will be served to all who help time as well as community service hours will be granted to those who need them!
Junior Olympic Swimmers - Please review the changes to the meet warm ups and start times for this weekend below!

Fall Beginner and Beginner Plus Information:
Dear SSC Beginner and Beginner Plus Parents,
With the Summer Season coming to an end, we would like to take a moment to thank you all for making this Summer Season so much fun! We appreciate all of you that returned for another season, and we look forward to having many of you with us for our Fall Season as well!
I would like to review some important information regarding upcoming events and some information that you may all want to review before our season comes to an end and the Summer season begins.
1 - End of Summer Season: The Summer Season will conclude on 07/18 and we will host of Seasonal Beginner/Beginner Plus Mini Meet on 07/19. This mini meet is for ALL Summer Beginner and Beginner Plus Swimmers.
2 - Summer Mini Meet: The Summer Season Mini Meet will be held on 07/19 at Sachem East.
Warm up for this event will begin at 5:30pm
The meet will start at 6:00pm
Swimmers will be assigned events according to their current group. Events have been shared in the Meet Information (above) on the weekly update and on our website. Please plan to arrive at Sachem East at 5;15pm regardless of the group that you are in. Swimmers will be stationed on the pool deck for the duration of the meet, Parents will remain in the bleachers for the duration of the meet to spectate. Returning parents interested in assisting with timing, please contact Coach Kyle at [email protected] to be added to our list of volunteer timers! First-time parents please do not worry about assisting at this time.
3 - Beginner/Beginner Plus Fall Season: Registration for the Fall Season will open in August. Exact dates are TBD and will be notified soon via email.

The first session of the Fall Season will begin 09/14/22 The Fall Sessions will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays eachweek at Sachem North. There will be 20 total sessions, with a 21st bonus session Mini Meet BG Tuition: $TBD (1-time registration fee of $TBD for new members) BG+ Tuition: $TBD (1-time registration fee of $TBD for new members) Beginners: Wednesday, Saturday: BG1 (5:00-5:45), BG2 (6:00 - 6:45) @ Sachem East Beginner Plus: Wednesday, Saturday: BG+1 (5:00 - 6:00pm) BG+2 (6:00 - 7:00pm) @ Sachem East Estimated last session is TBD Estimated Mini Meet TBD All of this information will be updated and distributed shortly.
4 - Summer Season Open House: Tryouts for NEW members will be held on 08/17/22 at The Holtsville Ecology Center Pool from 6:15 - 8:00pm. If you have younger siblings, cousins, friends, etc interested in joining, please spread the word and have them come down for a tryout. If you are unable to make the Open House, please email Coach Kyle at [email protected] to arrange a separate tryout time. If you are a returning member, you do not need to attend.
5 - Move Ups: All move-ups will be assessed and emailed to you directly from Coach Kyle & Coach Kim. If your Swimmer is moving up from Beginner to Beginner Plus, you will be notified directly prior to the start of the new season. If your athlete is moving up from Beginner Plus to Developmental, you will be notified directly before the start of the new season. If there are any issues regarding a move-up or any confusion regarding parent duties in moving up from BG+ to Developmental, please feel free to contact Coach Kyle to ask questions! We are here to help and make these transitions as smooth as possible. If you do not receive a move-up email, please register for the same group that you were already assigned. If you accidentally register for the incorrect group or register before receiving a move-up email, we will manually edit your account to accommodate the change.
Group Reminds All parents and swimmers are encouraged to join your respective group remind class. We will share things with the group like cut times, weekly updates, reminders, and swimming content to help keep everyone up to date and expand on our communications as a program. Many athletes already have this app set up for their school assignments! Swimmers under 17 must have parental supervision when communicating directly to a class owner.

Save the Date: End of Season Team Party/Awards Dinner
We will be returning to normal this year with an end-of-the-season team party at the Meadow Club in Port Jefferson Station on August 9th. Please save the date. The party will be held between 6:00pm and 11:00pm. Sign-up is available on the SSC Website.
