This weekend is the Counties Championship meet. All meet information regarding this meet is updated on our website and a special Counties Announcement/meet information email will be delivered separately to our competitors.

Important Summer Meet Guidelines for Dev, Nov, Jr, Adv, and Sr Swimmers:
As we close out our Short Course Yards (SCY) season and head into our Long Course Meters (LCM) season, I wanted to take a moment to remind each of you about our meet entry rules and how to navigate these meets individually. Summer rules function differently than our Fall-Spring rules do, so please review and contact me with any questions.
“Home” Meets - All SSC Hosted meets will have an automatic entry for the Juniors, Advanced, and Seniors groups. Developmental and Novice athletes are invited to participate but must opt-in by logging into their accounts and declaring intent to participate prior to the meet-entry deadline. We may accept special requests for BG/BG+ athletes.
“Away” Meets - LCM - All away meets that are LCM meets are opt-in meets for all groups. In order to participate, you
must log into your account and declare your intent to participate in this meet.
“Away” Meets - SCY - All away meets that are SCY meets will result in automatic entry for all Developmental and Novice swimmers where applicable. Juniors, Advanced, and Senior athletes are invited to participate in SCY meets but must opt in by logging into their account and declaring their intent to participate. The HAA Summer Sprint Series meets will be 12& Under athletes ONLY. We may accept special requests for BG/BG+ athletes.
Championship Meets - All Championship qualifying meets (RAC Sandbox Invitational, 2023 LCM Sr Metropolitan Championships, 2023 Age Group Team Challenge/Metro Age Group Championship, 2023 ISCA Championships, 2023 Zones Championships, etc) are mandatory and automatic enrollment will result for all individuals who qualify. A qualifiers report will be added to the forms/document section of each corresponding championship meet and will be updated periodically when possible to aid in knowing whether or not you have qualified. If you have qualified for one or more of these meets and you cannot participate, you must send an email to [email protected] in order to be removed from the meet.
How to use the website: Go to SachemSwimClub.com and click on the SSC Meet Calendar Tab. From there, click on the meet that you are looking for. A window will pop up with entry deadlines, meet date information, attachments for the most recent entry report, qualification reports if applicable, meet information packets which include qualification times and additional meet information, etc. You will be able to declare your intent to swim or to remove your athlete from meets at this location. Please follow this procedure moving forward. We will no longer be providing the meet chart in the weekly updates. 2 - Fitter & Faster Stroke Clinic: Butterfly & Breaststroke

We have some exciting news to share as we head into the weekend. We will be welcoming back Fitter and Faster for a Fast Butterfly & Breaststroke Swim Camp on April 29 & 30 being led by 2x Big Ten Champion Drew Loy!
For those who don't know much about Drew he is a decorated swimmer who swam for Ohio State University. He has achieved several notable accolades throughout his career, including being named a CSCAA First Team All-American and earning First Team All-Big Ten honors in 2020 as well as being an Olympic Trials qualifier. In addition to his athletic achievements, Loy has also excelled academically, receiving multiple Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honors

4 - Fire Island Junior Lifeguards - Summer Registration OPEN
Many of you have reached out to me interested in learning more about Junior Lifeguarding Training and Competition Opportunities.
