Weekly Message From Head Coach Kyle
Hello Team!
Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope that you are all looking forward to some time off this weekend!
When we return to the pool on Tuesday (Seniors/Advanced will have a practice option Monday as well!) we will be beginning the transition in our schedules to Long Course Meters swimming! This is a very exciting time of year but will include some schedule disruptions over the next few weeks, I am sure. Please keep a close eye on the schedule the next few weeks as the practice schedules and locations are subject to change once school lets out. We will try to publish asap to help you all with your own summer schedules!
Seniors/Advanced/Juniors - Please be advised that there is a practice opportunity on Memorial Day from 8:30am - 9:30am at the Holtsville Ecology Center. The pool may be cold, so please plan accordingly!

This is a reminder regarding the Town of Brookhaven parking rules at Holtsville Park. To give you some background, the Town is no longer manning the booth at the entrance of the park. Instead, the parking lot is now metered, meaning anyone without a TOB virtual permit for their car must pay for parking, otherwise, they will get a ticket.
Last year the tickets were $75.00. So in order to make sure no one gets a ticket at Holtsville again, we are asking the following:
1) If you already have a 2022 virtual permit for your car, you're good to go. You don't need to do a thing!
2) For everyone else, if you are a Brookhaven resident, you can purchase a virtual permit online for $25 at https://www.brookhavenny.gov/223/Parking-Information
This virtual permit is for one car and is NOT TRANSFERABLE. Each permit is for 1 vehicle!
3) If you are NOT a Brookhaven resident or do not wish to purchase a virtual permit, you must pay the meter. There are 2 meter pay stations, we recommend the use of the one by the entrance to pavilion/pool area.
3) When public safety agent looks at a car, they input the license plate number into their system or use a license plate reader. If the plate number registers a virtual permit or meter payment - NO TICKET. If the plate number DOESN'T register - TICKET IS ISSUED.
DROP-OFF/PICKUPS are recommended if you do not want a ticket and do not want to pay the meter or get a virtual permit. If you leave your car in a spot, you are subject to receiving a ticket if you do not have a virtual permit or paid the meter.
SSC has no control over the parking rules and regulations of The Town of Brookhaven.
Beginners & Beginner Plus Swimmers: Please be advised that there has been a MAJOR update regarding the Beginner and Beginner Plus program. Please click here to view the new Beginner/Beginner Plus announcement and please contact me ASAP should you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
Please also note that practice for BG/BG+ this week will be held entirely at Sachem North!
Thanks all,
Coach Kyle
