Weekly Message From Head Coach Kyle

 

SSC Swimmers & Parents,

 

As our 2022-2023 Season nears its end, we wanted to bring to you some important dates to mark on your calendars.

 

The last day of practice for the 22-23 season will be July 28th, 2023. We will maintain Wednesday Open Water Training for those interested from 7:00 - 8:30 am until further notice! We plan to continue to train open water in some capacity until the weather and water temp prevent us from doing so. Stand by for updates on this matter.

 

The Beginner and Beginner Plus Summer Intersquad Meet will take place on Tuesday, August 1st at 5:00 pm! 

 

TIME TRIAL OPPORTUNITY: SSC Novice, Juniors, Advanced, and Senior swimmers, please be advised that we will be holding a brief time trial at the conclusion of the beginner meet. The time trial will be limited to the 50/100s of each stroke and to the first 40 individuals to account for the timeline. Please let me know by emailing [email protected] for entry. Each swimmer is permitted 2 x events total in this time trial. We cannot guarantee that you will have the best order of events so please plan accordingly.

 

There will be a Sachem Swim Club Open House for all new and interested athletes on August 16th at the Holtsville Ecology Center Pool from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. See the below flier with the registration QR code and please share it with all of your friends, family, and neighbors!!!

 

The final Call to pick up custom towel orders will occur on Tuesday, July 18th at the Holtsville Pavillion from 6-8 pm.  Those who ordered towels have been emailed.  

 

An email recently went out regarding automatic registration for the next season (September 2023- August 2024). Please look for it and let us know if you have any questions. Please keep in mind, choosing to register for the 23-24 season late is OK but will result in a significant loss of opportunity. If you have questions about this or if you have an athlete doing a Fall School Sport, please contact me ASAP to discuss and plan for your next season!
