SSC Swimmers and Parents,
I hope everyone is enjoying their well-deserved break off from the pool! If you are eager to get back to work, have no fear because the 2023-2024 season is right around the corner!
Please be reminded that this week there is an Optional Open Water Practice tomorrow, 8/9 from 7 am-8:30 am at Broadway Beach in Rocky Point. This opportunity is open to all SSC athletes in groups Novice through Seniors ONLY. We hope to see you there! PS - The water conditions may be a little too rough to hold practice. We will be making an announcement on Remind at 5:30am whether or not practice will be held.
Juniors/Advanced/Senior Athletes,
Your preseason training for the new season will begin on Monday, August 21st. Reminder, your swimmer will be auto-registered for the new season and the first payment is September 1. Move Up emails have not yet been distributed for these groups.
Developmental and Novice Athletes,
Your training for the new season will begin Thursday, September 7th! Returning Developmental and Novice Swimmers… Reminder, your swimmer will be auto-registered for the new season and the first payment is September 1.
New move-ups to Developmental from Beginner Plus, you must register, choose a payment plan and sign the agreements.
Beginner and Beginner Plus Athletes,
Your training for the new season will begin on Monday, September 11th! Please make sure to register for the upcoming season PRIOR to attending practice and please reach out to Coach Kyle and Coach Kim if you have any questions relating to registration!
Heads Up to all Developmental thru Senior Parents and Athletes,
The preliminary SCY schedule is posted (subject to change), but our first meet of the season is on Saturday, September 23rd at the Nassau County Aquatic Center. This is a home meet, the annual TYR September Sprint. All Developmental thru Senior athletes will be automatically entered and this meet will have events chosen by the coaches and will be used to pick swimmers for the Relay Carnival, on October 1st. PLEASE save the dates!!!
Newcomers Welcome
There will be a Sachem Swim Club Open House for all new and interested athletes on August 16th at the Holtsville Ecology Center Pool from 6:15pm - 8:00pm. See the below flier with the registration QR code and please share it with all of your friends, family, and neighbors!!!
An email recently went out regarding automatic registration for the next season (September 2023- August 2024). Please look for it and let us know if you have any questions. Please keep in mind, choosing to register for the 23-24 season late is OK but will result in a significant loss of opportunity and you will still be responsible for the full year’s tuition. If you have questions about this or if you have an athlete doing a Fall School Sport, please contact me ASAP to discuss and plan for your next season!
