Below is some information regarding the upcoming 2023 Metropolitan Open Water Championship meet on Saturday 09/09/23. Currently, we have 4 athletes registered to compete in this meet. Please review the information below and be sure to plan accordingly for your travels.
Additionally, I have provided some information on the upcoming 2023 SSC September Sprint Meet and the first Fitter and Faster Swim Clinic opportunity this year.
As always, the meet schedule and information will be linked on our website and in every single weekly update and the events, promotions, and amenities will be advertised weekly in the quick links at the top of the weekly updates. Please be sure to review these each week in great detail!

2023 SSC TYR September Sprint Meet

Important Notes: SSC Team Policy Requires all athletes in the Developmental through Senior Training Groups attend this meet to be eligible for the 2023 Relay Carnival meet. If you cannot attend, you must email [email protected] ASAP to inform us that you will not be there. Failure to attend will result in loss of opportunity to improve one’s times for fair placement on a relay team at the Relay Carnival Championship meet. Additionally, failure to attend without notifying us prior to the event deadline of 09/16/23, will result in a charge to your account for the splash fees incurred.
All SSC Athletes in the Developmental through Senior groups will be automatically entered into a 50 SCY Freestyle, 50 SCY Backstroke, 50 SCY Breaststroke, and 50 SCY Butterfly in an effort to improve times for placement in the Relay Carnival meet. If you wish to swim in an alternative event, please contact your group head coach for permission to do so.
Sessions:
Session 1: Ages 13-14/10U Boys Saturday 9/23/23 7:00am Warm Up, 8:05am Start
Session 2: Ages 11-12/10U Girls Saturday 9/23/23 11:30am Warm Up, 12:35pm Start
Session 3: Ages 15 & Over Saturday 9/23/23 4:00pm Warm Up, 5:05pm Start

Fitter & Faster Underwaters, Turns, and Video Analysis Clinics
Hi SSC!
We are excited to announce we will be welcoming back our friends from Fitter & Faster for a Faster Flip Turns / Video Analysis Swim Camp on October 21 & 22.
Please keep in mind 100% of our camps with Fitter & Faster have sold out. Please take the time to sign up while there are spots available. With a curriculum as valuable as Faster Flip Turns & Underwaters I am sure this camp will fill up quickly.
There will be two sessions each day, one for swimmers ages 12 and under and one for swimmers ages 13 and older. The curriculum each day will be:
October 21:The Fifth Stroke Underwaters
October 22: Faster Flip Turns, Open Turns & Finishes
October 21: Elite Video Analysis
As an additional option, on Saturday afternoon, swimmers can get the same video analysis as the Pros! This portion of the camp is open to any age. You can find out more details about this on the website!
