SSC September Sprint - Final meet Update

Hello Team,

This is the final reminder that tomorrow, 09/23/23 is the SSC September Sprint Meet. Below is meet info and links to the entry reports and meet information packet. 15+ athletes please be reminded of the NCAA Meeting at 2:30 BEFORE your meet session. If you'd like to learn more about the college recruiting process, please plan to be there early to attend!

*If you submitted a late scratch and received a confirmation from me, you are all set. The entry report is from 09/17*

Important Notes: SSC Team Policy requires all athletes in the Developmental through Senior Training Groups to attend this meet to be eligible for the 2023 Relay Carnival meet. If you cannot attend, you must email [email protected] ASAP to inform us that you will not be there. Failure to attend will result in a loss of opportunity to improve one’s times for fair placement on a relay team at the Relay Carnival Championship meet. Additionally, failure to attend without notifying us prior to the event deadline of 09/16/23, will result in a charge to your account for the splash fees incurred.

College Recruiting Seminar: Hosted by Kevin Walsh

The College of Saint Rose - Head Coach

SSC has invited friend of the program, Kevin Walsh, to lead an NCAA information meeting for all athletes ages 15+ attending the SSC September Sprint Meet. Athletes interested in learning about the process of becoming an NCAA Collegiate Swimmer or athlete are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity! Coach Kevin Walsh is the current Head Coach of the College of Saint Rose Golden Knights and will be at Nassau County Aquatic Center to host a 1-hour discussion and Q&A starting at 2:30pm until 3:30pm. The discussion will be hosted at the deep end side of bleachers near the diving boards. Please plan to arrive around 2:20pm to find a spot!

Sessions:

Session 1: Ages 13-14/10U Boys Saturday 9/23/23 7:00am Warm Up, 8:05am Start

Session 2: Ages 11-12/10U Girls Saturday 9/23/23 11:30am Warm Up, 12:35pm Start

Session 3: Ages 15 & Over Saturday 9/23/23 4:00pm Warm Up, 5:05pm Start
