Hello Team,
With our Mid-Season Championship meets behind us, it is now time to shift our focus toward the end of the season and start building things back up in training! Please start looking at the dates of the end of season SCY Championship meets such as Silvers, AGTC, MAGC, Sr Mets, Bronze, Zones, Counties, Etc.
At this time of the year, we like to begin highlighting the IMX (Ages 14 and Under) Championship Meet and standards associated with it. Below is some information regarding this Championship Meet.
Now is a good time to remind you all to head over and take a look at the SSC Meet Calendar for additional upcoming Home and Away meets after the championship meet block! We have added some opportunities to the calendar to opt in!

This is a HOME MEET and will be hosted at NCAC. Please note that all Developmental through Senior SSC athletes are AUTOMATICALLY entered into this meet. If you cannot attend this meet for any reason, please let us know ASAP so that we can remove you from the meet without charge!!!
Parents - Please be reminded that parents without a work assignment are not permitted on deck. Additionally, there is ABSOLUTELY NO locker room use by parents.
Time Trials:
Time Trials will be offered immediately following the conclusion of Session #1 ONLY. If you would like to time trial an event, please let me know asap.

2024 IMX Games Championship

According to our preliminary reports, the following athletes have QUALIFIED for the 2024 IMX Championships:
23-24 SCY - Orner, Viollis
23 LCM - C. Frank, Wallace
22-23 SCY - Orner, Short, C. Frank, Borowski, Wallace, C. Ngyuen, B. Russo
All athletes wishing to qualify for IMX will need to have a combined score of 1,800 points in the following events:
10 & Under’s
200 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM
11-12’s
500 free (400 free for long course), 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM
13-18’s (Our region only does 13-14 age group)
500 free (400 free for long course), 200 back, 200 breast, 200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM
To calculate your swimmers IMX score and identify any weaknesses, please use the following link and follow these directions:
Type in your swimmers First and Last name and select “show only fastest times by event.”
Next, select the current SCY season or the previous SCY OR LCM Season. You cannot add time/power points between seasons or LCM/SCY interchangeably. They must all be done in ONE of these seasons mentioned.
After searching under these parameters, each event will be associated with a “power points” score. It is listed in the “Points” column. Write down the points scored only for the events in your swimmers IMX Age Group (listed above).
If your swimmers score is ABOVE 1800 points after being added, they qualify for this championship meet.
SSC Meet Entry Protocols Explained
Please remember that you can and should insert notes when submitting your entries through your accounts on SachemSwimClub.com. When doing so, please indicate which days/sessions you are available for. Leaving no notes will result in automatic enrollment in every session for up to 3 events each session per individual. Please also indicate whether your swimmer has requested to swim less than the standard 3 events or if they have any specific goals or plans for said meet. If you are not managing that correctly, you may be paying for additional entries and leaving coaches wondering if you’re showing up to a specific session or not! Parents are responsible to SSC for payment for all entries on away meets. These are charged to your account and due the 1st of the month after the meet.
If you are having trouble interpreting the SSC Meet Calendar, please send [email protected] an email requesting a phone call to review and manage your entries. You can also send this information via email if you experience any trouble with your account.
When doing entries, please be reminded of your swimmers IMX (14&Unders as of January 2024) and event completion requirements for training group move up consideration. You can review some of the Training Group Standards on our website!
Please also review your swimmers times at the links below to determine which events may be a good idea to try, which have not been completed, and which may be close to future meet qualifying times!
