UPDATE 01.15.24: Tomorrow, 01/16/24 is the deadline to be entered in this meet for current qualifiers. If you have not completed your IMX events, we will be hosting several Goal Meetings this week to review with your coaches what is left for your IMR completion, how to calculate IMX scores, and how to read future championship meet qualifying times. On Saturday, 01/20/24, we will be holding a Time Trial event for athletes needing to complete an IMX event for an improved PowerPoint score or to complete their IMR requirements at Sachem East. Details forthcoming. Parents & Swimmers, please take advantage of these meetings so that you can learn more about how to assist your athletes with their IMX scores and IMR Goals!

UPDATE 01.08.24: USA Swimming has finally restored a system of reporting that helps track IMR and IMX PowerPoint Scores. Unfortunately, this does not provide scoring for all athletes and only provides the score for those who are “IMR.” (IMR = have completed your age group’s required events)

Please use the following reports and information to view, calculate your scores, and determine your current placement. If you have a score of 1,800 power points or greater then you qualified! If you are qualified then please email [email protected] to confirm or decline your participation in this meet!

Here are some important things to consider when determining your athletes' needs to qualify:

1 - If your swimmer qualified last year, regardless of their age, they also qualify this year automatically.

2 - If your swimmer “ages up” prior to 01/26/24, but has earned the IMX qualifying score during this season in their previous age group, they still qualify to swim IMX in their new age group.

3 - If your swimmer has a PowerPoint score of 1,800 points or more when all of their IMX Events are combined, then they qualify. To view the USA Swimming IMR reports, click here. (We are awaiting results from the TVSC meet and the LIE meet results are currently being processed in SWIMS).

4 - If your swimmer does not appear on the IMR Reports then they did not complete their age group's required events during the eligible seasons. To calculate your point score so far and determine the missing events to complete IMR, please use the directions listed at the end of this email!

5 - Only PowerPoint totals by “Season” can be added together. Ex: you cannot combine a Powerpoint score for a 100 Long Course Meter Swim with a Short Course Yards event to make a score. The events must all come from the current (23-24) SCY Season, the previous (22-230 SCY Season, or the previous 23 LCM Season

*Reminder*: All athletes wishing to qualify for IMX will need to have a combined score of 1,800 points in the following events ONLY:

10 & Under’s

200 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM

11-12’s

500 free (400 free for long course), 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM

13-18’s (Our region only does 13-14 age group)

500 free (400 free for long course), 200 back, 200 breast, 200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM

To calculate your swimmer's IMX score and identify any weaknesses, please use the following link and follow these directions:

Type in your swimmer's First and Last name and select “show only fastest times by event.”

Next, select the current SCY season or the previous SCY OR LCM Season. You cannot add time/power points between seasons or LCM/SCY interchangeably. They must all be done in ONE of these seasons mentioned.

After searching under these parameters, each event will be associated with a “power points” score. It is listed in the “Points” column. Write down the points scored only for the events in your swimmers IMX Age Group (listed above).

If your swimmer's score is ABOVE 1800 points after being added, they qualify for this championship meet.
