It’s hard to believe we are coming to the close of the short course competition season!
There are 2 meets left that are specifically for 8 & under athletes.
The first meet opportunity will be the weekend of March 2-3, 2024. This is the Metropolitan Swimming 8 and Under Championships hosted by Condors Swim Club in West Nyack, New York at the Felix Festa Middle School Pool. This is a very fun swim meet! Each team picks a theme/costume. Prior to the start of the meet the swimmers participate in a parade on the pool deck in their costumes! The team with the best costumes receives an award. All teams within Metropolitan Swimming are invited to attend. There is ample viewing from the stands for parents. I had the opportunity to coach this meet for 3 years, and then it was on hiatus for 3 years. The swimmers really enjoyed those meets and still reminisce about them! In previous years we were chefs, ducks, and penguins. This year’s theme will be announced shortly. I hope you will consider attending this meet and building fond and wonderful memories for your swimmers!

The second meet opportunity is local. It is hosted by TVSC on the weekend of March 17-18. Only local teams will be local teams attending. Since this meet is held on St. Patrick’s Day weekend…the meet will be St Patrick’s Day themed.
