2024 ASCSC County Championship - FINAL MEET ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello SSC Parents & Swimmers,
Tomorrow is the day! Please be reminded of the following information and please note that the Finals Session Warm-ups are set to start at 3pm both Saturday AND Sunday! There was an error in the meet invite packet! Please be sure to read everything below before the weekend!
Once again, the time has finally come for the 2024 ASCSC County Championship! This Saturday and Sunday we will be competing in a HUGE Season Closing Meet with all teams in Suffolk County! This year we had an astounding 92 qualifiers! I am blown away by the depth of our program and excited for this year’s very last SCY Championship! We need each and every one of you there, competing at your best ability!
Please be reminded that on Thursday, 04/11/24 we will be hosting a special Counties Team Practice, followed by a Special Counties Team Dinner at Sachem East. All Swimmers competing in the 2024 SSC Counties Team will attend a Counties Team Practice and Dinner at Sachem East. All other athletes will be provided an alternative practice schedule to continue to train (See weekly Practice Schedule). Please be sure to notify us ASAP if you cannot attend the Team Practice and Dinner.

Session #1: 13+ Swimmers: 4:30 - 6:00 pm @ Sachem East
Session #2: 12 & Under Swimmers: 6:00 - 7:00 pm @ Sachem East
Team Photo @ 7:00pm On Deck, Team Dinner @ 7:15 pm in Cafe B

04/13: Prelims - 8:00 am Warm up 9:00 am Start (ALL SWIMMERS SHOULD ARRIVE TO THE POOL NO LATER THAN 7:45am!)
04/13: Finals - 3:00 pm Warm up 4:00 pm Start *All relays swim in Finals Session*
*Top 20 swimmers from preliminary sessions will go on to swim in Finals. Should you place in the top 22 swimmers in prelims in your event, you are REQUIRED to attend Finals*
04/14: Prelims - 8:00 am Warm up 9:00 am Start (ALL SWIMMERS SHOULD ARRIVE TO THE POOL NO LATER THAN 7:45am!)
04/14: Finals - 3:00 pm Warm up, 4:00 pm Graduating Senior Parade, 4:10 pm Meet Start *All relays swim in Finals Session*

Swimmer Rules & On-Deck Policy:
ALL MEMBERS AND PARENTS MUST READ THE MEET ENTRY ENTRY REPORT TO BE SURE WHICH SESSIONS YOUR ATHLETES NEED TO REPORT TO - ESPECIALLY RELAYS. ALL RSVPs HAVE BEEN RECEIVED AND ACCOUNTED FOR, SO THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY ISSUES WITH NO-SHOWS!
THIS IS A MANDATORY MEET AND WE NEED ALL QUALIFIERS AT THE MEET!
ALL QUALIFIERS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND, PARTICIPATE AND STAY FOR THE ENTIRE SESSION! IF YOU ARE IN A RELAY, MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE!
ATHLETES ARE NOT PERMITTED TO LEAVE WHEN THEIR EVENTS ARE OVER! ONLY WHEN THE MEET SESSION IS CONCLUDED.
Note: Athletes Competing in this meet will be permitted on deck in all sessions. We ask that all athletes stick with our team and do not wander around the deck. If you are there for a session that you are not in, you are expected to be there as a supporter and will be asked to leave if you do not comply with these guidelines. If you are NOT in counties, you are permitted to attend as a spectator and will not be permitted on deck.
Parents/Spectators:
Admission: Admission for spectators will be $10.00 for prelims and $5.00 for Finals! Meet programs are available on Meet Mobile
Parents NOT Working this Meet:
All parents and spectators not given a work assignment for this meet are NOT ALLOWED DOWNSTAIRS for any reason short of an emergency. Parents are never permitted on the pool deck without a work assignment. Parents are NOT ALLOWED in the locker rooms ever for any reason. Please use the restrooms upstairs if needed. There are single stall restrooms available on the first floor for meet workers. DO not enter the locker rooms during a swim meet or a practice at any location as it is a violation of USA Swimming Safe Sport Rules.
How to Enter the facilities:
Please see the attached aerial view of the Nassau County Aquatic Center for information on how/where to access the facilities.
When to get to the facility:
Parents/Swimmers are responsible for arriving at the facility 15 minutes before the start of your session’s warm up time (Listed below and included in the meet itinerary of every single meet). Swimmers will wait outside the pool entrance until the facilities permit entry. Do not be late.

This is a MANDATORY MEET. Should you qualify, you are expected to attend. Once RSVP Yes has been received, failure to attend will result in a $100 fine. Additionally, failure to show up to Finals for an individual swim will result in a $100 fine.

Points are only scored at finals.

If you are in a relay, which are swum at FINALS, you must attend! No shows will be fined and the team may not be able to compete!!!!

If you are on a relay, your relay placement is not guaranteed! Relay positions can be re-determined after preliminary swims! Bring your A-Game to prelims and fight for your finals placement! Relay-only swimmers will not lose their spot on the relay to another swimmer.
