SSC Fall Beginner & Beginner Plus Athletes & Parents,
We are excited to bring to you some important information about the end of the Fall Season, the beginning of the Winter Season, the SSC BG/BG+ Fall IntraSquad Meet, and the SSC Winter Open House. Please take the time to read all of this information carefully to be sure that you know how to prepare for the upcoming swim meet, re-register for the winter season, etc.
Please also share our information and the Open House information with your family and friends (November 22nd at Sachem North 6:00 - 8:00pm)! We are always open to growing this incredible swim family! Returning members DO NOT need to attend.
Registration for the Winter BEGINNER AND BEGINNER PLUS Season is NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION - Please click here to register! Please be sure to register for your CURRENT group. If you receive a move-up email from us after the Intrasquad meet, you will be automatically migrated to the new group and will receive a communication from us regarding these changes.
I hope that you are all excited about the Beginner Intrasquad Meet to close out a great Fall season with this incredible group of athletes! BG/BG+, please note that the Time Trial that takes place AFTER the Beginner meet is not for Beginners or BG Plus.

Fall BG & BG+ MINI MEET (INTERSQUAD MEET)
Our Fall Beginner and Beginner Plus Mini Meet (Beginner Intrasquad meet, Beginner Time Trial) will be on Wednesday November 20, 2024 at Sachem EAST High School. All Beginner and Beginner Plus Swimmers will compete at this time regardless of your typical practice schedules. All BG/BG+ will be automatically entered and your events will be selected by the Coaching Staff.
Warm Up will begin at 5:00pm, so please plan to arrive at 4:45pm!
The Meet will begin at 5:45pm and is estimated to conclude around 7:00 pm.
If you are UNABLE to attend, please email Coach Kyle at [email protected] and Coach Kim at [email protected] ASAP so we can remove you from the meet.
All scratches (notices that you cannot swim) are due by Saturday November 16, 2024 by 12:00pm!

Facility Access Directions @ Sachem High School East:
Directions for entering the Facility: From Granny Road - Take the main entrance road at East up the hill and park in the lot between the Football Field and the Capital Stairs (The big staircase on the side of the building). Enter the building through the doors at the top of the capital stairs. Once inside, take the hallway on your right side all the way down to the end. Parents - enter the spectator bleachers on the left hand side. Athletes - head down the staircase on the right hand side of the bleachers and the pool is on your immediate left-hand side once at the bottom of the stairs. Please exit the facility through the same way that you came in!
Winter BG & BG+ Registration & Season Information
Our Winter Beginner Program will begin on the week of 12/02/24. Below is the TENTATIVE Winter Schedule & pricing. Please be reminded that each BG or BG+ “Season” is a 20-session practice season. You will be required to enroll in each season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) throughout the year if you wish to continue to train here with SSC’s Pre-Competition team! [We hope that you do!!] Registration for the Winter Session will open on 11/18/24!

BEGINNER 1: Mondays 5:00 - 5:45pm @ Brookhaven ROE YMCA, Saturdays 9:00 - 9:45am @ Sachem North High School
BEGINNER 2: Wednesdays 5:00 - 5:45pm @ Brookhaven ROE YMCA, Saturdays 10:00 - 10:45am @ Sachem North High School
BEGINNER 3: Fridays 6:00 - 6:45pm @ Brookhaven ROE YMCA, Saturdays 11:00 - 11:45am @ Sachem North High School
BEGINNER PLUS 1: Mondays 6:00 - 7:00pm @ Brookhaven ROE YMCA, Saturdays 8:00 - 9:00am @ Sachem North High School
BEGINNER PLUS 2: Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:00pm @ Brookhaven ROE YMCA, Saturdays 8:00 - 9:00am @ Sachem North High School
Total Classes = 20 (Roughly 10-weeks)
*Note* There is no difference between curriculum and programming in the Beginner 1,2,3 or in the Beginner Plus 1,2 sessions. YOU PICK the class schedule that fits you best. If you have scheduling conflicts, notify us at registration so that we can assist you!
Winter Beginner & Beginner Plus Pricing:

Winter Beginner “20-session” program package - $399.00 Tuition, $25 Admin Fee, Returning members, SSC will handle your USA Swimming Membership Renewal after enrollment and bill the charge to the card used for registration.
Winter Beginner Plus 1 or 2
Winter Beginner Plus “20-session” program package - $475.00 Tuition, $25 Admin Fee, Returning members, SSC will handle your USA Swimming Membership Renewal after enrollment and bill the charge to the card used for registration.
USA Swimming Membership = $40 Flex Annual Membership (12 & Unders ONLY), $90.00 Premium Membership

Please note that move up emails will be issued AFTER the Fall Intersquad meet on 11/20/2024 and should your group registration change, we will automatically adjust your account and bill accordingly at that point.
Newcomers - In order to enroll in our program, each athlete requires a brief evaluation for proper group placement. See Open House tryout info below!
Winter Open House
For All Non-Members interested in Joining 5+ years old. Please see the information for the upcoming SSC Winter Open House. All athletes and children interested in trying out for SSC are encouraged to attend! The minimum requirement for entry in our program is completion of a 25 yard swim in Freestyle and/or Backstroke without stopping!
