Coaches and Directors
This is Dots 4th year at Middies. She came to the team with over 20 years of aquatic experience, including overseeing the Harrison Recreation Department’s aquatic programs. Previously, she coached the Harrison winter swim team and is the Head Coach for the summer swim program in Harrison, a team she started in 2008. Dot received the 2017 Westchester County Swim Conference Coach of the Year Award.
Besides coaching at Middies, Dot works for the Harrison Recreation Department and is an American Red Cross Instructor for CPR First Aid, AED, & RTE.
Dot is a Coaches representative for the Weschester County Swim Conference.
Coach "Coz" is entering his 8th year Coaching at Middies. Coach
Cosme came to the Middies with over 20 years of aquatics
experience, having taught lessons the YMCA, White Plains Parks and
Rec and the Theodore D Young Community Center. Prior to coming to
Middies, Coach Cosme spent 6 years coaching at the
Fairview Aqautics Swim Team. At FAST, Cosme worked with the Senior
and Junior squads, having helped develop many Junior Olympic and
Zone qualifiers. Coach Cosme was also the head coach of
the White Plains Modified swim team from 2014-2015. Cosme has also
coached and been acitve part of developing athletes who have
competed in the Special Olympics
Inga made her return to the Middies in the Winter of 2015. Coach Inga has over 20yrs of experience in the aquatic realm. For the last 10 years, she's served as the Head Coach at Scarsdale Town Pool in the summer. Inga is also the Assistant Coach at Ardsley High School for the Girls and Scarsdale High Scholl for the Boys. She's also a former coach at Empire Swimming.
Outside of the pool, Inga is a USAW Olympic weightlifting coach and former athlete. She's an American Record Holder. Inga is also a strength and conditioning coach to
professional, semi pro, amateur and high school athletes throughout the Westchester and will be taking over the dryland coaching responsibilities for the team.

Alexander Lessem is entering his second season as a coach with the Middies.
Alexander began swimming competitively with Empire. While attending Ardsley High School he was a member of the varsity team serving as captain his senior year.
Alexander is a 2017 George Mason University graduate where he swam for the college's club team. Alexander was the president of the college club team for 2 years. Alexander also swam for the George Mason University Patriot Masters Swim Team.
Coach Jason is entering his first year with the Middies, joining
the team after spending the last 2 years coaching at the Greenwich
Dolphins. Coach Jason has been involved in aquatics for the last 15
years, working with all levels of swimmers from beginners to
advanced level. He’s even started his own swim school as an
opportunity to provide swimming opportunities in under represented
populations.
Coach Jason’s enthusiasm and passion for the sport can be seen on a daily basis on the pool deck. Outside of swimming, he enjoys competing in triathlons and cycling.
Coach Jason will be working primarily as the lead Future coach and spending time on deck with all of the squads.
Coach Cooper enters his first year as a coach with the Middies.
The team is excited to welcome Coach Coop back on the pool deck, as
he began his swimming career as a Middies Swimmer. Swimming for
White Plains HS, Cooper was a sectional qualifier and ended up
continuing his swimming career at SUNY Cortland
In the summer, Coach Cooper coaches at Westwood while serving as a
TA in the White Plains School District throughout the year.
Jani has spent his summers coaching Harrison Rec.
Jhordane McNab is
returning to the Middies Swim Team as a coach for the 2024-25
season, after having been a coach during the 2016-17
season.
Jhordane was a competitive swimmer, growing up swimming for the New
Rochelle YMCA Sailfish. There, she qualified for YMCA State
Championships, and was a Y Nats qualifier. Jhordane continued to
grow in Aquatics, as she's a WSI, Certified Pool Operator, and
Lifeguard Instructor. She was the Senior Regional Manager at
Goldlfish Swim School and has previously coached at Westchester
Aquatics Club as well as Middies
Her coaching
philosophy is rooted in fostering a positive and challenging
environment where athletes can thrive. She focuses on
technique, endurance, and building confidence, helping swimmers at
all levels reach their full potential. . Coach Jhordane
is excited to share my passion for swimming and help the next
generation of athletes dive into success!
Coach Ericka is entering her first season of coaching with the
Middies Swim Team. Growing up in Mount Vernon, NY, Coach
Ericka’s swimming career began at the Mount Vernon YMCA, as a
member of the Water Dragons Swim Team. There, she developed a
lifelong passion for swimming and aquatics, eventually becoming a
lifeguard and spending her summers working for Westchester County.
Ericka competed Collegiately for BMCC and Lehman College. She
currently still trains and competes as a member of Yonkers
Masters.
Most recently, Coach Ericka was the Assistant General Manager at
Goldfish Swim School, where she also taught lessons.
Laila Ouldibbat is entering her second season as a coach with the
Middies.
Laila began swimming at the age of of 4 and swam competitively as a
member of the New Rochelle Sailfish where she was a multiple time
YMCA State Qualifier. She was former team record holder and was
named team captain her senior year. As a member of the Eastchester
High School swim team, she was also a team captain and former
Sectional qualifier.
Laila is a 2016 Graduate from Drexel University where she was a
member of their club team. She's looking forward to another year
with the Middies and will primarily be working with the
Bronze/Junior squads.
Outside of the Middies, Laila is a Neonatal Registered Dietitian at Westchester Medical Center.
Coach Alyssa joined the Middies Coaching staff in January 2024.
Alyssa's swimming career began as a member of the Fairview Aquatics Swim Team before joining the Middies. For High School, she competed as a member of Woodlands and then finished her HS career as a member and captain of Harrison. During the summers, Alyssa swam for GST.
Alyssa then brought her studies to Howard University. While in DC she worked in the local YMCA as a swim instructor and then helped build the swim team.
Coach Bella is entering her first full year of coaching with the
Middies. She’d previously spent t summers coaching with the
team and coach the White Plains Recreation Summer Swim Team,
helping lead them to a perfect Undefeated season and Division
Championship in 2025
Before Middies, Coach Bella was a member of the Howard University
Swim Team, the only collegiate HBCU swim team in the nation.
Throughout her collegiate career, Bella helped set numerous team
records and narrowly missed qualifying for Nationals. Prior to her
Collegiate career, Bella was a standout swimmer at Condors of
Westchester, where she made Junior Nationals, Futures, and
qualified for the National Diversity Select Camp.
She is so excited to be coaching for Middies this year! When’s she not coaching, she’s acting, or writing. This past summer, Olivia was a fellow at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.
