Important Information
- Our annual home “Southwest Splash” swim meet is January 31 - February 1 at the SMSU Pool. We are still in need of LOTS of volunteers to make this a successful meet for our visiting swimmers and their families. This swim meet is the club’s major fundraiser for the year so PLEASE share your time and talents with us. Click here for the volunteer and donations for the concession stand signup.
- Business Sponsorships – We are looking for any business sponsorship for our swim meet. If you know of some businesses that would potentially sponsor our event and/or provide donations (monetary or food for our concessions), please let us know. We do want to make sure we respect our local businesses and only ask for sponsorships/donations once. Randi Larsen will be coordinating our sponsorships/donations so please contact her with potential sponsoring businesses.
- Concession Stand/Volunteer Signup – SSC needs your help for our concessions stand and the MANY volunteers needed the day of the meet.
- Silent Auction Donation – Please consider donating or obtaining donations for our silent auction which will be held in conjunction with the Beat the Blizzard swim meet. The auction will be open on Saturday (1/31) and close mid-day on Sunday (1/1).
- The 2026 ASC Winter High Point will be January 3-4 in Aberdeen, SD. The meet will be swum at the Aberdeen YMCA in a 25-yard, 8 lane indoor pool. If your swimmer is interested in attending the swim meet, please register on our website or let Coach Connie know. The registration deadline is Tuesday, December 23.
- The 2026 WASC Optimst Highpoint Meet will be January 17-18 in Watertown, SD. The meet will be swum at the Prairie Lakes Wellness Center in a 25-yard, 8 lane indoor pool. If your swimmer is interested in attending the swim meet, please register on our website or let Coach Connie know. The registration deadline is Tuesday, January 6.
- The 2026 SFST January Invite will be January 23-25 in Sioux Falls, SD. The meet will be swum at the Midco Aquatic Center in a 25-yard, 10 lane indoor pool. If your swimmer is interested in attending the swim meet, please register on our website or let Coach Connie know. The registration deadline is Tuesday, January 13.

SSC Swim Tryouts. Swimmers are always welcome to come and join our team anytime during the season. If interested in joining our team, please contact Connie Dunn at [email protected] to arrange a try-out date/time.
Practice Cancellation Information. If practice is cancelled, the cancellation announcement will be on our Team Unify web site and Facebook page (Southwest Swim Club - Marshall MN).
SSC Swim Caps. SSC swim caps are available for sale. Swim caps are $10.. Please contact Coach Connie if you would like to purchase one.
