Ms. Kayla Returns from Training at Southwest Aquatics, Ready to Share Her Knowledge with the MS Gulf Coast
Ms. Kayla is back from an enriching four-week training session at Southwest Aquatics, and she’s eager to dive back into teaching the next generation of swimmers. During her training, Ms. Kayla worked closely with Joy McGinty, founder of PediaSwim, an innovative program designed to teach children, from infants to toddlers, life-saving swim skills in just a few weeks.
At Southwest Aquatics, Ms. Kayla had the opportunity to work with children of all ages and swim levels, refining her skills and learning advanced techniques that she’s excited to share with the MS Gulf Coast community.
What is PediaSwim?
PediaSwim is a comprehensive and proven swimming program that teaches infants and toddlers how to swim-float-swim for both fun and safety. In just three to five weeks, children learn the essential skills of swimming facedown, maintaining the correct posture while kicking, rolling into a calm float, and then flipping back over to continue a propulsive swim. This unique method provides children with not only the ability to swim but also the confidence and safety skills to navigate water with ease.
By attending this specialized training, Ms. Kayla has gained a deeper understanding of the PediaSwim approach and is now more equipped to teach local children on the MS Gulf Coast. “I’m excited to bring this new knowledge back to the babies here,” Ms. Kayla shared. “It’s a life-saving skill, and I can’t wait to help even more children learn to swim in a safe and fun way.”
With her newly enhanced expertise, Ms. Kayla is ready to continue her work and make an even bigger impact in her community, helping children develop critical swim skills while also providing peace of mind to parents. She’s ready to get back in the water and inspire the next generation of swimmers!
