Marla is our Team's Lead Coach. As such, she has taken charge of directing our coaching staff and leading the way in designing and implementing our season training program.Marla is in her eighth year as a swim team coach and her fourth year with the FAST kids.  Right now she is working with our Silver Group to teach the kids the fine points of competetive swimming.
Marla swam in a club program through her high school years and participated in intramural swimming in college at Oklahoma State University, which she attended for 4 years.  Marla has worked as a Lifeguard, Swim Lesson Instructor and functioned as a Coach for her Local Swim Club during High School.  While at OK State she served as the Head Coach of the Stillwater Swim Club for 2 years.  When that club merged with the local YMCA she began to look for bigger and better opportunities and soon found herself in the Big Sky Country.
Marla is also working as a teacher's aide and pool manager at our own Bison Pool.

Erica rejoined the team as an age group coach following her graduation from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota, which she attended on a collegiate swimming scholarship.   Erica is a native of Great Falls and had a successful High School swimming career for Team Bison here at GFHS, as well as a very successful age group career swimming for team FAST.
Her first foray into coaching came when she helped coach the middle school team while in High School.   She also taught swim lessons in her spare time and enjoyed introducing young kids to the sport of swimming.   She helped FAST by working as an assistant coach for a number of summer seasons, and had gotten to know the kids on the team very well.
She is currently giving back to the sport she loves by coaching young FAST swimmers for most of the year, and as the assistant coach for the local High School teams during their season.   Once she has graduated from school, she returned to her home town to teach and work with youngsters.   She is currently beginning her third year as a full-time teacher for the GFPS district, and a Coach for FAST.

Meghan is also a veteran of the FAST team. Growing up in Great Falls she had many opportunities to work with a variety of coaches and teams over the years. She was a member of the FAST team for the first 10 years of her swimming career. During high school she swam for both the CMR Lady Rustlers and Peak Waves Swim Teams until an injury took her out of the pool. After returning home from attending college at the University of Montana to pursue a major in nursing she became involved with the City Pools and FAST. She worked within the City Pools System for multiple years, running many swim lessons and lifeguard/junior lifeguard training programs previously. This is Meghan's 6th year with the FAST team. 

Meghan began on our team through coaching Pre-Team and has coached each competitive level of our team, making her landing coaching the Bronze II group. Currently she is a full time Oncology RN on the Acute Care Medical/Oncology unit with Benefis Health Systems.
