Please Donate to Help Arkansas Swim Families Hit by the Storm

As you know, Mayflower and Vilonia were hit by a devastating tornado this past Sunday which resulted in tragic loss of life and left thousands of families without homes and basic resources.  Aquakids Swim Team has many family members that live in both communities. All our swimmers are safe and no families lost their homes. Unfortunately, one family did lose a loved one on Sunday and has another in the hospital.

We are receiving word from our families that live in these neighborhoods that there are plenty of comfort kits (travel size) from Red Cross. They really appreciate all the donations. However, there is a greater need than just that. It is impossible to name all the things that they need, so that is why the best donation would be gift cards from any retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Kohl's, Kroger, etc).  Any amount would be helpful.

Aquakids will be at the Aquahawgs Long Course Opener this weekend, so if any team members would like to donate a gift card, please turn it in to Coach Brian before he heads to the meet this weekend.  Brian will be the coach on deck in Fayetteville.  He will make sure any donations get to the right people.
