Important Information about Champs and Last Chance Entries!! PLEASE READ!!
The entry deadline for the RAC Last Chance meet and our Championship meet are both on the Monday immediately after our home meet... I need every team family to take some time on Monday to look through all of the events to try to figure out the best entries. I won't have much time to go over them, but if you have any questions you can email me to see if I have any insight.
I will extend the entry deadline for the last chance meet to Monday so that we can have updated times from our home meet in the system. If you are planning to go to Springdale for that meet, you may want to go ahead and enter it today and then adjust the entries over the weekend if your swimmer makes any new cuts or gets close to a new one.
Championship entries also need to be done on Monday. It is important that you let me know if there is some reason that you will not be able to attend so that I do not enter your swimmer in a relay accidentally. We plan to have every contract swimmer there so I will assume that I can make relays with every swimmer being there for all three full days of the meet even if that swimmer has no individual qualifying times unless I hear from you by Monday morning. (Email is best because if you just tell me on deck I most likely will not remember it.)
Championship entries can be modified after the last chance meet, but only to enter events for which a new cut was made at that meet. The limits are 3 individual events per day, and 7 total for the meet weekend. Remember, the qualifying times are the BB times on the USA Swimming Motivational list under the Q TIMES tab on the main page of the team website. For the 15-18 age group is matches the 15-16 cut, rather than 17-18. Please help your swimmer to keep track of Q times over this weekend's meet. I hope we can pick up a lot of new cuts at Schiff!
