UPDATED: True Blue Igloo Warmup Information

Hello Swim Families!

Below is the warmup schedule and lane assignments for the upcoming True Blue Igloo this weekend in Topeka. I have deleted Friday because it is over.

Saturday AM

  • Warmups: 8:00 – 8:30 am
  • Lanes: -1 & -2
  • Meet Start: 8:45 am

Sunday AM

  • Warmups: 7:30 – 8:00 am
  • Lanes: 1 & 2
  • Meet Start: 8:45 am

The “negative” lane numbers refer to the furthest most outside lanes of the east pool, the side with the diving boards, that are not actually used for competition.

Finals warmup times will be announced at the meet.

The meet officials will enforce these rules.

No parents may come to the south, east, or west sides of the pool, nor come into the swimmers’ crash area on the far south end of the pool.

Meet officials have told me that parents will be removed from the facility if they stray too far from the bleachers during the competition.

1. No spectators will be allowed in the main pool area until 45 minutes prior to each session. The lobby will be open.

 
2. No swimmers will be allowed in the tall bleachers at the east side of the pool. Water from wet swimmers and wet towels draped over bleachers has a significant negative impact on the function of the air evacuators.
 
3. Events 5 and 6 will be swum after Events 1 and 2 Friday evening to give the 8 and under swimmers a break between events.
 
4. Due to the cold weather, warm up times Saturday and Sunday morning have been shifted to 7:30 and 8am with a meet start of 8:45am.
 
5. There will be a photo area on the east side of the east pool for photos and video. Because of the starting block orientation, no photos or videos will be allowed in the tall bleachers. This is a Safe Sport Requirement!
 
6. TSA will be asking for help with timing due to the extra requirement of the 2 pool setup for prelims and finals Saturday and Sunday. TSA will be having a raffle for prizes at each session, and only volunteers will be eligible to enter! Information will be visible at the volunteer check in table.
